Who we are

Headway Southampton is a local charity, based in Totton, that offers support,

advice and rehabilitation services to adults with an acquired brain injury.

Every 90 seconds someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an ABI. 

An Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) is an injury caused to the brain since birth. There are many possible causes, including a fall, a road accident, a tumour and a stroke.

Every ABI is different and coming to terms with the effects of an ABI for individuals, and their families and friends, can be very distressing and difficult. 

Headway Southampton's aim is to improve life after brain injury.
