About us
Who we are
Healthy Me Healthy Communities (HMHC) has been extremely successful in growing since its start-up in 2013 to a well-respected social enterprise.
HMHC’s purpose statement:
“Reducing health inequalities together”
We do this by:
- Engaging people through the power of food
- Involving residents most affected by poverty, exclusion and inequalities
- Coproducing community services with residents, VCSE and statutory partners
- Bringing healthy food options to more people
- Connecting people to services and support networks that address the some of the underlying causes of health inequalities
And we achieve this through our services:
- Community Grocers
- Manchester Community Food Centre & No.93 Café & Kitchen
- Community organiser training
- Volunteer opportunities and training
- Food Workshops
