Who we are

Hijinx is one of Europe’s leading inclusive theatre companies, creating outstanding performances with learning disabled and/or autistic artists on stage and on screen, for Wales and for the world.

We are a professional producing company working to pioneer, produce and promote opportunities for actors with learning disabilities and/or autism.

The heart of our work is always ourlearningdisabledand/or autistic artists, who constantly challenge perceptions of what theatreand filmcan be and howtheyshould be made. Performances that change the way that we perceive the world are the performances that remain with us forever. This is what we aspire to make. 

Our Academies across Wales provide world class professional performance training and we also hold weekly courses and classes so that you can learn essential life skills through drama and meet new people.

We’re recognised for our role as experienced trainers and we provide award-winning specialist programmes to help businesses and organisations demonstrate their commitment to inclusivity and diversity. This empowers staff with the confidence and skills to communicate well with vulnerable customers and challenges their existing perceptions.

As part of our commitment to increase the diversity of our workforce at Hijinx, we provide a Guaranteed Interview Scheme to applicants who are underrepresented on our team.
