Who we are
Home-Start Wandsworth provides support for families with young children under the age of five, and soon-to-be mums during pregnancy. Our volunteers help parents who may be struggling with post-natal depression, isolation, physical health problems, bereavement, disability, financial hardship and many other issues.
The service provides impartial, non-judgmental listening, practical support, and helps families access other local services. Through a partnership with parents, we build up families' ability to cope, and offer opportunities for parents and children to connect with others in their community.
Home-Start staff and volunteers put the needs of the family at the heart of its support. We are an adaptive service, where new ideas to support families are welcomed and fostered.
