About us
Who we are
Islamic Help is a UK-based international relief and development organisation that was established in 2003. Our programmes aim to empower disadvantaged communities in the UK and abroad; some of the key areas we work in are emergency response, WASH, education, livelihoods, sustainability and environment conservation. We have worked in 49 countries and have offices in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Our culture and values
Our work is underpinned by our core values – honesty, transparency, integrity and accountability. We involve communities in our assessments, allowing us to understand their needs, to help develop them and forge strong relationships. When we empower individuals and communities, positive change happens.
Inspired and motivated, people take steps to not only better themselves but also to help those around them. That’s why we create initiatives that focus on building confidence and independence, as well as building communities.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We celebrate and respect difference, and take the time to learn about the people we help. By doing so, we can tailor our humanitarian projects to meet the specific needs of the communities affected.
