About us

Who we are

We are an established Cardiff based registered Charity, who aim to prevent suicide through direct intervention with vulnerable people, raise awareness, aim to eradicate the stigma surrounding suicide, promote positive mental health and support people bereaved through suicide in South Wales. We deliver person centred support on both a 1-1 and group basis, in addition to CPD accredited training within the community and local businesses.

Our culture and values

We operate a three strand policy:

1. Intervention - We provide person centered 1-2-1 therapy and  monthly support groups for those aged 18+ years experiencing suicide thoughts, ideations or engagement in suicide behaviours.

2. Prevention - We deliver our bespoke CPD accredited Suicide Brief Intervention Training within the community and local business organisations to raise awareness and provide education around open conversations, safety plans and crisis support. We are striving toward minimising the stigma that surrounds suicide in a bid to encourage more people to come forward for support.

3. Postvention - We provide support for anyone who has been affected by suicide, inclusive of children and young people. We offer immediate support, advice and monthly support groups to those who have experienced the trauma and complex grief that surrounds losing someone to suicide.

Alongside our Cardiff project, we offer a beravement liaison service in collaboration with Gwent Police for anyone affected by a death through suicide within the Gwent region of Wales.

We are a dynamic and empatetic team of professionals experienced in suicide and bereavement. We are passionate and committed to reducing the number of lives lost to suicide and supporting families through the devastation that losing a loved one to suicide causes.
