About us
Who we are
Founded in 1999, LRSN is a well-established, medium-sized and volunteer-led charity that provides free and confidential support, help and advice in times of crisis, stress and change to Lincolnshire's farming and rural community. Volunteers are always at the heart of the charity’s service, demonstrating a community investing in itself, and its future. LRSN’s activities include a helpline, one-to-one farm visits, drop-in advice sessions and health screening (Covid-19 restrictions permitting).
Last year (April 2019 - March 2020) we supported over 160 farming families, our nurses delivered nearly 1,000 health checks and our helpliners received 138 calls. We worked with 127 partners and were involved with 49 events.
Our mission: To harness the human and financial resources available to improve social and mental wellbeing of individuals in rural Lincolnshire, in particular, but not exclusively, through the provision of information and support.
