Who we are
Loughborough Junction Action Group (LJAG) is a hyper-local social action charity with a vision to make Loughborough Junction a great place to live and work. It is our mission to improve the environment of Loughborough Junction and the lives of the peope who live and work there.
There are four strands to our work: greening, children's activities, skill-sharing, and events and we run projects which bring people together and build a sense of community and belonging. The Grove Adventure Playground is a busy playground with some of the most adventurous structures in London offering supervised play to local children and young people from the ages of six to 14. The Loughborough Farm is a popular food growing project established on a once derelict piece of land with outreach projects on local housing estates. The Platform Cafe is a vegetarian cafe using surplus food from the Farm and from other surplus food suppliers; its volunteering and guest chef programmes offer routes into work. Our craft workshops tackle loneliness and isolation and pass craft skills down through the generations.
