About us
Who we are
The MS Trust is a UK charity bringing together expertise from every angle to help people feel more in control of their MS, today and every day. Through trusted information, compassionate support, the training of new MS healthcare professionals, and research rooted in real experience, we’re here for every MS. Every day.
Around 150,000 people in the UK live with MS. From the moment of diagnosis, it can feel like your sense of self has been taken away. When treatment and support are fragmented or unpredictable, life becomes even more challenging. That’s why we’re here, to give everyone affected by MS the knowledge and confidence they need to navigate their condition and move forward with greater control.
Our culture and values
People with MS are at the heart of the MS Trust. They shape and inform everything we do. Our people embody the values we hold.
Expert
We focus our expertise on empowering people with MS with the knowledge and confidence they need to maintain ownership of their lives, through the services we provide and through the health professionals we support, train and fund.
Caring
We treat everyone with care, kindness and respect. We value and celebrate diversity – and constantly work to empower people by respecting and appreciating what makes them different.
Trusted
We never take for granted the trust that people with MS and their communities place in us. And we strive to live up to that trust, every day.
Supportive culture
At our last employee engagement survey, 97% of respondents said that the Trust enabled them to manage their work and personal lives.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
The MS Trust is committed to ensuring everyone with MS can access the treatments and services they need and deserve. We aim to represent and reach all people affected by MS including Black, Asian and minority ethnic people, LGBTQ+ people, and people living with disabilities. We want to ensure that all voices and viewpoints are heard and amplify the voices of people who have been marginalised.
We aim to be an inclusive and diverse organisation, where all staff represent and understand the diversity of the sector we represent. We are committed to building an inclusive culture that is intolerant of discrimination, bullying and harassment.
We are the charity that makes sense of MS for everyone, whatever their personal or social circumstances.
