About us
Who we are
Nordoff and Robbins is a Music Therapy Charity. We deliver music therapy to a range of clients across the UK, including some of the most vulnerable people in society. We meet the growing need for music therapy by training music therapists and ensuring that their skillsare not only maintained but developed. We research music-making and its potential to inform how we can support our clients and people in challenging situations.
We stand for music and believe in the value of music for all people in our society. Every day we use the power of music to enrich the lives of people affected by life-limiting illness, trauma, isolation, social exclusion or disability
Our culture and values
Participation and collaboration are central to our approach to music therapy, and that bleeds into every aspect of our culture. We foster an atmosphere of openness and transparency, courage and honesty. We’re also committed to the professional development and personal wellbeing of our colleagues. This is a place where people are able to stretch their talents and grow their skills.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Our aim is to create an environment in which every person feels a genuine sense of belonging. This starts with being inclusive, allowing colleagues to bring their whole self to work. We strive to provide equal opportunities and accessibility to all. We embrace diversity. We want to bring different voices and experiences to the table and be properly representative of the communities we serve.
