Founded in 1999 by filmmaker Jeremy Gilley, the not-for-profit Peace One Day led the campaign to establish an annual day of ceasefire and non-violence. In 2001 the organisation's efforts were rewarded when the member nations of the United Nations unanimously adopted the world's first ever global day of peace - September 21. In 2010 Jeremy and Peace One Day were awarded the Carnegie-Wateler Peace Prize.
At Peace One Day, we welcome and encourage applications from everyone regardless of age, disability, gender, ethnicity, religion and sexual orientation. We know that we need the support and buy-in of all sectors of society if we are to fully achieve our ambition of institutionalising Peace Day and making it truly self sustaining. We need a diverse team to successfully drive forward our ambition.
Unfortunately we are unable to sponsor visa applications, so you must have the right to live and work in the UK in order to be considered for any position at Peace One Day.
For further information about Peace One Day and our big ambition please visit our website www.peaceoneday.org or watch our campaign films on our You Tube channel 'PeaceOneDay'.
