About us
Who we are
The Animal Care Trust (ACT) is the Royal Veterinary College’s (RVC) registered charity. For more than 30 years we have been dedicated to raising funds to support the College’s wide range of activities aimed at improving animal health and care.
The main areas we support are:
Hospitals - we purchase vital, state-of-the-art equipment for the RVC’s three animal hospitals,
fund the building of new hospitals and the enhancement of existing ones. We support key
clinical services such as the Blood Transfusion Service, Diabetes Clinic and ground-breaking
heart surgery.
Research - we provide assistance to the RVC’s research teams in their endeavours to pioneer
new tests, treatments and cures for the diseases that affect animals around the world.
Education - we support the RVC’s commitment to excellence in veterinary education, to ensure
we create the best veterinary professionals and scientists of the future.
