Who we are

The South West Heritage Trust cares for the heritage of Somerset and Devon, bringing the past to life for all people. We run the iconic Museum of Somerset and Rural Life Museum in Glastonbury to tell the story of the South West of England. Our two Heritage Centres in Taunton and Exeter hold the largest collection of archive materials outside of London, our oldest document dating back to 705AD. Our stunning heritage nature reserves welcome walkers to historic sites whilst conserving wildlife and habitats. Our services are for everyone, shown by our Vision: “We will celebrate and protect our rich heritage, helping everyone to enjoy it now and in the future.”
