About us
Who we are
The Sussex MS Centre was founded in 1984 by people diagnosed with MS and their families to provide High Dosage Oxygen Therapy to help alleviate the symptoms of MS. We provide a sociable fun environment for peer support to take place and for therapies and group activities to help our members meet the challenges of living with MS.
In 2013 we were awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service. We have about 45 regular volunteers who work as Chamber Operator and Receptionists, without whom we could not function!! 60% of our Board of Trustees (of 8 people) have MS so they really know how the disease manifests itself and therefore have a good idea of how to steer the organisation in the right direction.
