The Lucy Faithfull Foundation is a pioneering child protection charity whose vision is to create a world in which children's rights to live free from abuse and exploitation become a reality.
Our mission is to prevent the sexual abuse of children and young people by working with protective adults, those affected by abuse and those erpetrating it, including young people with harmful sexual behaviour. We are committed to using our expert knowledge to impact on public policy and to educate families, professionals and the public. In all our work we help children and young people to stay safe.
We are the only UK wide organisation dedicated entirely to preventing child sexual abuse and have been doing so since 1992. Our services, programmes and projects are designed to place a protective shield around children, to help prevent abuse from happening in the first place or to prevent it from happening again.
We do this by working in partnership with government, charitable trusts, voluntary, statutory and private sector and the public.
We also contribute to the evidence base and knowledge of sexual abuse and use this to influence public policy.
We also have a child sexual abuse prevent campaign in the form of Stop it Now! UK and Ireland which is run by The Lucy Faithfull Foundation.
We believe child sexual abuse is preventable, not inevitable.
