About us
Who we are
The National Flood Forum (NFF) is a UK charity that supports individuals and communities affected by flooding, helping them recover, prepare, and build resilience. It provides practical advice, emotional support, and independent guidance through its helpline, while also helping local residents set up community flood action groups to strengthen their preparedness. The NFF advocates for flood-affected people by representing their concerns to government bodies, insurers, and agencies, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making.
Our culture and values
The core beliefs and practices of the National Flood Forum (NFF) center around community, resilience, and advocacy. They believe that people who live with the risk of flooding should have a strong voice in shaping the decisions that affect them, and that communities are more resilient when they work together. They also hold that recovery is not just about physical repairs but also emotional wellbeing, fairness in insurance, and access to clear, independent advice.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Ensuring fairness, equity, and diversity, creating an organisational culture where everyone is treated with respect, has equal access to opportunities, and feels valued for their unique perspectives.
