The Nehemiah Project is a Centre of Excellence for rehabilitating men from addiction and crime, through the transformation of their lives, to become fulfilled, valuable members of the Community.
The Nehemiah Project will:
Nehemiah is a small, financially-independent charity, and we all believe that our Residents have the ability to overcome their addiction and achieve their potential. We work closely with a small group of men - currently 18, and we hope to add a new house with six more beds in 2019. Staff each have six men to keywork, which allows you to get to know each man and build up trust that will then underpin the work they do on our programme.
Our Supported Housing Team currently stands at six, and two of the posts advertised will work in our Croydon house. The team work closely together, supporting one another as well as our Residents, and are able to draw real job satisfaction from the successes we see in our graduates. The team benefits from regular clinical supervision, and all staff contribute to a workplace pension.
We work in comfortable residential houses with a homely atmosphere that contributes to Residents' recovery, but also provides a pleasant environment for staff and men alike. The Supported Housing Team work office hours, with one week on call a month, for which a small allowance is paid.
