Who we are
The Rachel Kay-Shuttleworth Textile Collections operating as Gawthorpe Textiles Collection, charity 1182054 is an independent educational charity and accredited museum which is based at Gawthorpe Hall in Padiham, Burnley.
We care for and utilise our internationally renowned heritage textile collection of over 30,000 items from around the world for public benefit; to inspire, educate and connect people through a passion for craft. We deliver an annual programme of exhibitions, talks, formal educational sessions, adult and family focused workshops, community outreach and artist collaborations, as well as opening up our collection to researchers and study groups.
