About us
Who we are
Time Out Group is a fun and friendly social group for adults with learning disabilities living in Cheshire East and surrounding areas. We offer a range of supported activities for our members, including skills and confidence building, health and wellbeing, sports, crafts, social activities like going out for a meal, holidays and day trips and lots more.
Our activities are designed to encourage independent living skills while enabling people to become part of the community that they live in. Our staff and volunteers are trained to support the group to make the most of their time with us and ensure that they are kept safe.
Set up 20 years ago Time Out Group has grown from strength to strength. We are a member led organisation and work hard to ensure that we offer the most fulfilling and interesting activities for our members. Currently funded largely by the National Lottery, we have been able to improve our offer to members - even during lockdown, with lots of activities on Zoom.
We have a newly refurbished Drop-In centre based in Handforth, Cheshire where we do a lot of our activities. We are also very involved in local community activities and like to get out and about as much as possible.
Our team of friendly staff and dedicated volunteers create a welcoming atmosphere for members and a very rewarding environment to work in. There are lots of opportunities to get involved in new projects and help develop activities at Time Out Group.
