About us
Who we are
Transform Reading is a network of Christian churches, organisations and individuals who have a common vision to see Reading transformed by the life, love and power of Jesus.
We are in the process of establishing this new identity having been working together as Reading Christian Network for more than 20 years, seeking to step up to the challenges of a new era through prayer, unity and mission in all its forms, in all spheres of life.
We are linked to and learning from a growing number of towns and cities in the UK and globally where the church is coming together like never before to be a transformative presence in personal, community and civic life at all levels
Our strategy for the next 18 months involves a number of key strands:

deepening and broadening our unity across as much of the spectrum of churches and social action agencies as possible through shared vision, prayer and messages

engaging with key stakeholders (Council, Police, Business, Health agencies etc) to listen, understand and support key priorities for the town wherever we can

providing the environment to catalyse networks of Christians called to different spheres of life - business, education, health, arts etc

mobilising as many Christians in our area as possible towards our common vision and gather together through a strategic event in Spring 2021

developing new communication platforms (website, social media) to support all of the above.
