Who we are
Prosper Wakefield District, has been changing the lives of communities across the Wakefield district for over 200 years and we are the largest independent grant maker in the district.
Driven by a founding vision of investing in community health and wellbeing, we remain one of very few independent grant-making organisations in the area, committed to improving people’s lives by tackling the causes of poverty by working with and supporting the Voluntary and Community Sector to deliver vital services.
We run a series, of small grants programmes, and charities and not-for-profits are invited to apply for grants of anything between £500 to perhaps £20,000 pounds.
We have funding to support many different areas such as simply paying the bills through to running new projects and support for business planning and sustainability. For projects that are already running, we can provide support to help them grow.
