Young Citizens is an educational charity that inspires young people to take part in society as equal members. We help them to understand the law, politics and democratic life. We promote participation, we help teachers to teach citizenship and we work with young people on issues that concern them. Over 80% of schools in the UK have taken part in our educational programmes and have used our educational resources. At present, we have 20 employees and are supported by several consultants and volunteers. The organisation is lively and informal with a conscientious and diligent staff team based at our London offices with some outreach workers in other parts of the UK.
