The Salvation Army are partnering with the University of Stirling via the Salvation Army Centre for Addiction Services and Research to deliver a trial for the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). This unique and innovative social care trial will examine the effectiveness and cost effectiveness of a Peer Navigator/peer support intervention for people experiencing homelessness and problems with substance use. We are now looking for a Peer Navigator (lived experience practitioner) within our Homelessness service to deliver a relationship-based intervention to those experiencing drug and alcohol problems and homelessness, providing both practical and emotional support.

You will have experience of delivering group activities, communicating effectively and sensitively with children, young people and adults, and experience of building, managing and sustaining relationships. You will have good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work under pressure. The ideal candidate will have experience of managing volunteers or mentors to support the personal and social development of children and young people, but this is not essential.
The role is full time. You will need to be committed to working flexible hours which may involve some evening and weekend work. Role Definition
The Development Department is responsible for securing revenue and project income from funding sources including individuals, businesses, trusts and statutory organisations to support the Theatre and its work. Prospectus is pleased to be working with a homelessness charity based in Newham, whose mission is to provide support to people who find themselves sleeping rough in East London by providing a safe and welcoming place to stay, and offering support through the provision of personalised support, educational and life skills opportunities. They are now seeking a Maintenance Officer to join their team, on a temporary basis, initially for 1 month, with potential of extension.
As a Maintenance Officer you will carry out a range of general health & safety room checks, cleaning, building maintenance and caretaking tasks. The role will report to and support the Facilities Manager in the delivery of planned, reactive maintenance and cleaning tasks. You will ensure a clean and welcoming environment for residents, employees and visitors by providing a repairing, maintenance cleaning service in order to keep the various buildings and grounds to the highest standard, whilst minimising the need for external contractors.
To be considered for this role, you will have experience of risk assessment or a health & safety qualification, as well as experience of building cleaning and maintenance, handyperson, plumbing or caretaking duties. You will also have a good understanding of health and safety requirements within a building environment, the ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people and be able to manage your own workload effectively and under pressure.

We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Support Worker to join our Hope House service in Slough.

We provide support for 16 customers, we have two sites Hope House (10 bed supported housing) Doddsfield Rd (6 flats independent living with floating support).
Hope House - Support hours 24 hours 7 days per week, with sleep- in based on a shift rota pattern - (sleep-ins staff are paid additional to salary advertised).
Doddsfield Rd - Floating support (during working hours)
Team - 1X Contract Manager, 1X Team Leader, 3.2 Support Workers.
Current Vacancy - 1x FTE/1 x FTC Support Worker role who will be allocated to work with customers at both sites.
Staff work closely with Slough Community Mental Health Team (SCMHT) we also have a designated Occupational Therapist working along side supporting staff. Customers also attend Hope College which is facilitated via Slough Mental Health Team as part of their recovery process needed in preparation into independent living.
This is a great opportunity for any support worker to gain exceptional experience within the mental health field, based on the solid working relationship with (SCMHT) We have since implemented training directly from SCMHT to support staff with understanding Mental Health diagnosis and Managing Crisis with our customers in-house.

What you'll do:

- Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards
- Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively in conjunction with the Housing Management team
- Ensure that referrals are chased proactively so that properties which can be used to house those in need are filled as efficiently as possible
