Location: Flexible working with a mixture of remote working and office based at Solar House, 3rd Floor, 1-9 Romford Rd, London, E15 4LJ or home-based.

Salary: £22,944 - £25,156 per annum, depending on experience (London based)

Location: Harrow

The role

This role is part of the Student Activities department working collectively with colleagues delivering the Guild’s student groups, societies, activities and volunteering work as part the Engagement Directorate.

The Student Groups Coordinator roles are to develop the capacity of the student groups within the Guild to enable students to maximise their potential. The support will include the administration of relevant training, tailored support for specific initiatives and assisting groups to plan for their year through attracting membership and delivering their activities.

We are looking for applicants who have experience of dealing with customers both face-to-face and online, over the telephone and via e-mail, with twelve months relevant experience in an administrative role and responsibility for managing and developing administrative systems; along with experience of developing relationships with students and stakeholders to deliver objectives.

The Children and Young People's Psychological Training programmes (CYP-PT) (formerly CYP-IAPT) is a service transformation programme delivered by NHS England that aims to improve existing children and young people's mental health Services (CYP-PTs) working in the community. 

As part of this initiative, Centre 33 is looking to recruit two trainee ‘Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Practitioners’ (CWP) to join our existing team based within the ‘Someone to Talk to’ service. 

As a trainee CWP you will deliver brief, evidence-based, goal focused interventions to support young people aged 13-25 experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. You will provide some ‘Guided Self Help’ interventions to support parents of younger children aged 5 -12 who experience anxiety and behavioural difficulties. You will deliver support in a variety of ways including both 121 and group work, workshops and webinars. Our blended offer at Centre 33 means you will be expected to work face to face and remotely via telephone and zoom depending on individual client needs. 

You will study part-time for the ‘Child and Young Persons Psychological Wellbeing Practice: Post Graduate Diploma ’ through University College London and the Anna Freud Centre for Children and Families. Your remaining hours will be spent working within our busy service, applying and developing the skills and knowledge you acquire in training to our client base. 

You will be based across either our north (Peterborough/Wisbech/Huntington) or South (Ely/Cambridge) and will be required to travel for the purposes of study and client work where needed. 

**You will have a minimum of a second-class Bachelor’s degree from a UK University (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (e.g Psychology) and evidenced experience of working with young people. Who you are

• comprehensive understanding of the processes involved in the criminal justice system (desirable but not essential)

• significant resilience, and willingness to be professionally developed and clinically supervised 

• a full UK driving licence, with access to your own transport and are willing to use it for work purposes (we reimburse travelling expenses).

Candidates must be able to speak Welsh. You will be expected to support families who are first language Welsh.

What we're looking for 

We are looking for a quick-thinking, organised, insightful and analytical intern to join our consulting team. You won’t be doing coffee runs or endless photocopying, you will be a pivotal part of the team making a serious contribution to the work we do.

You will have at least a 2:1 or first-class honours degree and your English language, writing and communications skills will be excellent. A science-related degree could be beneficial, and a Master’s degree is an advantage but not essential.

Your role as an Intern in our Consulting Team 

As a member of the consulting team (after sufficient training) you will be given the opportunity to work on some of Scriptoria’s exciting international consulting projects alongside senior team members. The work will be varied and will involve working closely with our team of developers to conceptualise and design our specialist project-management software for international development and research organisations. You will therefore have excellent communication skills to translate the needs of the clients into actionable instructions for the data team. As an individual, you need to see data science and technology as tools for problem solving and enjoy the analytical and “detective” work involved in applying them.

• Salary: Annual gross salary of £21,673.60 per year (pro rata), paid monthly  

• Location and hours: Home (UK only) or office-based in South London. Our standard working hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm every day with one hour for lunch (1pm to 2pm).   

• Annual leave: 33 days’ holiday pro-rata in each complete calendar year including statutory and public holidays

Horticultural Engagement Officer

Job Title: Horticultural Engagement Officer (hybrid/flexible working) 

Salary: £ 23,893 FTE £32,000

As part of an engagement team across the Royal Horticultural Society, the Horticultural Engagement Officer will implement the RHS’ careers promotion and diversity initiative New Shoots at and in the vicinity of RHS Garden Rosemoor in Devon. This consists of careers outreach ,activities as well as onsite engagement programmes, such as taster days, work experience, youth volunteering and horticultural skills development programmes.

The Horticultural Engagement Officer will need to be creative, personable, and happy to be part of a remotely managed team based at all five RHS gardens, and will enjoy working with people from the age of 14 from a varied range of backgrounds. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to problem solve, have experience of engaging with diverse audiences and of working across teams. As the delivery of horticultural training is an essential part of the role, a horticultural qualification equivalent to RHS Level 2, or similar experience, is essential.

As Horticultural Engagement Officer you will be responsible for

• Delivering the RHS’ inclusivity and engagement programme New Shoots at and around RHS Rosemoor, focussed on building representation in horticulture from previously underrepresented groups. This includes occasional weekend work and travel across the UK with overnight stays.

We’re looking for an Admin Assistant to support our Education and Research team for a period of 12 months. This role will be to support the perpetrator intervention across Wiltshire.

You will be primarily based in Wiltshire supporting the Domestic Abuse Serial Perpetrator (DASP) project, providing bespoke specialist support to perpetrators of domestic abuse. The post holder will work as part of the IOM team within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service to ensure that clients who show abusive behaviour are supported through every stage of the process of change. Evening appointments are necessary for this post in Salisbury and Chippenham.

In addition, you will support the delivery of the CPR (Choosing Positive Relationships) Domestic Violence Perpetrator Programme (DVPP), which is an intensive behaviour change programme, designed to increase knowledge and understanding around domestic abuse, the impact on children and healthy relationships. The course teaches tools and strategies to help someone change their behaviour. The CPR group will require weekly evening work in Wiltshire.

The post-holder will be expected to work to Respect standards.

Full training will be available for this role. 

Client Based Duties

• Identify and assess the risks and needs of individuals who are abusive in a relationship or other domestic setting, using an evidence-based risk identification checklist.
• Develop personalised risk assessments and safety plans for each service user.
• Advocate for individuals who wish to address their abusive behaviour and show motivation for change with agencies who can help to address the domestic abuse by:
  • Understanding the role of all relevant statutory and non-statutory services available to those who are abusive and how your role fits into them.
  • Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to individuals, including in relation to drug and alcohol, housing, health and finance.
  • Working directly with all key agency partners to address the impact of the abusive behaviour on the safety of high risk victims and ensuring that their safety plans are coordinated.
• Support the client to recognise the abusive behaviour and the effect that it has on their families and assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse present in their situation and help them change unhealthy patterns of behaviour.

The post of Group Facilitator will be to provide support to victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence within group work provision.

At FearFree we run various trauma-informed groups for victims such as Empowering You (an educational domestic abuse online support group) and Rediscovering You, a face-to-face emotional wellbeing recovery group.

We are looking for experienced and motivated staff to join to help deliver the group work programmes we run around locations in Wiltshire. Groups run in the morning, afternoon and evening. Training for the groups will be provided.

In addition to facilitating groups, staff will be asked to attend training events and meetings, including regular supervision.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To facilitate group work provisions across the Wiltshire Service on weekdays, including afternoons and evenings.
• Completing pre and post group assessments and required paperwork, following the procedures in place.
• Write comprehensive case notes following groups about service user involvement, any concerns raised and any action required.
• Identify and take the appropriate action on any disclosures or safeguarding concerns raised within the group.
• To work cohesively with a second facilitator both virtually and in person in locations around Wiltshire.
• A willingness and ability to travel around Wiltshire and access to a vehicle with business insurance.

Skills and Qualities

• Experience of working with victims of domestic abuse or sexual violence or the willingness to increase knowledge and skills in this area.
