RSTMH is a charity and membership society for those working or interested in tropical medicine and global health, and currently have almost 1,800 members from more than 90 countries, with a network of more than 10,000 involved with our work in some way. We are looking for an experienced Membership Manager who will help us manage all aspects of our membership programme. This involves maintaining high levels of retention and developing and delivering new recruitment strategies for members across the world.

The role will also focus on developing membership journey programmes to ensure our members receive top quality service from the Society and that all membership processes are undertaken with efficiency, energy and effectiveness.

The Membership Manager will also play a crucial role in ensuring that we are promoting RSTMH, and its membership offer, to our members and supporters. This person would be the first point of contact for our members and so must be professional, a sound communicator and efficient.

This is an exciting opportunity to use your knowledge of policy development and regulation of the financial sector to tackle climate change and loss of nature, as a member of the Sustainable Finance Unit of the Policy Solutions team in WWF, the world’s leading independent conservation organisation.

As Sustainable Finance Policy Advisor, you will help design creative policy solutions to some of the world’s most difficult and pressing challenges. Your work will influence government, central banks, regulatory authorities and the finance sector itself to respond to climate change and nature loss, and deliver the transition to a net zero economy. You will support policy development to transform the financial sector in the UK and beyond, focusing on government policy and regulation.

This is a newly created role and there is a great deal of untapped potential here for a proactive leader to support the CEO and SLT to create efficiencies in how we manage our internal infrastructure (IT Systems and processes), Finance and charity Governance, and HR/people to ensure we maintain and develop a thriving and nurturing working environment. We are looking for Senior Supporter Acquisition Manager to join our Fundraising directorate and lead a brilliant team to develop and implement a range of supporter acquisition marketing programmes and to achieve the growth ambitions of our Fundraising strategy.

The Supporter Acquisition team is responsible for all marketing to attract new supporters across a large portfolio of appeals/products and media.  We are looking for someone to join us who has significant expertise with a wide range of marketing channels and can really add value to large well-established programmes with their experience, knowledge and drive to continually improve, identify appropriate new opportunities and shape supporter acquisition programmes.

The role involves managing an experienced team of two managers and a co-ordinator, and leading relationships with a number of suppliers.  The marketing programmes currently include face-to-face fundraising (from stands in retail space or at expos/outdoor events), DRTV and other forms of advertising, print – door drops/partially addressed mail/inserts and payroll giving.  An important part of the role is developing advertising for the nation’s largest charity appeal, the Poppy Appeal each November.

You won’t shy away from complexity and getting to grips with the details of the broad array of appeals/products your team will be marketing and associated systems, budgeting, reporting and KPI measurements for each of them.  You’ll strive for excellence, ensuring campaigns are compelling and effective and will be able to capably resolve issues at a senior level and take on new challenges.

The Operations and Marketing Manager plays a crucial role in the ISG, overseeing both organisational operations and marketing efforts. This position ensures the maintenance of high standards, adherence to regulations, best practices, and organisational efficiency. The role requires maintaining close relationships with the ISG Board, management team, staff and volunteers, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach to achieving the ISG's mission.

Key Responsibilities: 

Administration and Operations Management

• Develop, maintain, and enhance operating policies, procedures, and principles.
• Enhance governance frameworks and operational strategies.
• Forge and maintain external partnerships to bolster the organization's objectives.
• Oversee office management and serve as the minute taker at key meetings.

Marketing

• ​Lead branding and marketing initiatives to promote ISG and ichthyosis effectively.
• Lead the creation, distribution, and management of ISG literature and digital content.
• Support educational events, activities, and social media engagement.

Finance and Accountancy Support

• Enhance financial systems, procedures, and record-keeping.
• Provide support for annual accounts, bookkeeping, and financial documentation.

Administrative Systems

• Oversee the ISG database, CRM systems, and operational platforms.
• Ensure secure and efficient information sharing and storage and maintain external communication channels.

General Enquiries

• Act as the primary point of contact for all incoming communication and external entities.

Grant Applications

• Lead the identification, application, and management of grants and funding opportunities.

Fundraising

• Develop and manage national, regional, and online fundraising strategies and activities.
• Support and enhance member and external fundraising initiatives.

Event Management

• Coordinate and manage ISG events, liaising with third parties, participants, and volunteers.

Volunteer Coordination

• Develop volunteer recruitment and management strategies, supporting national, regional, and online volunteer activities.

Reporting

• Responsible for the preparation and management of various organizational reports.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in operations and/or marketing management, preferably in a nonprofit or similar setting.
• Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in financial management, event planning, and volunteer coordination.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekend hours as required.

The Public Affairs and Policy Manager will play a crucial role in helping to determine and shape TMs policy goals and how best to achieve them. Working closely and collaboratively with colleagues from across the organisation, and in close consultation with the TMs internal and external stakeholder groups and networks you will develop policy, research and campaigning projects to meet the organisations strategic objectives.  You will be able to understand complex policy issues, recognise their relevance to the Traveller Movement and identify policy solutions. You will know how to generate and analyse data and bring issues to life by drawing out the lived experience of people from Romani (Gypsy), Roma and Irish Traveller communities 

You will led develop and sustain a small committed team of two policy and campaign officers to produce policy, research and campaigning activities.  You will lead TMs Public relations and influencing work developing relationships with policy makers, partner organisations, parliamentarians and the media. You will ensure co-production and the voice and lived experiences ethnic Romani (Gypsy), Traveller and Roma is central to all our engagement and influencing work. 

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to work as a Fundraising Coordinator.

The Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for leading the work to raise funds to support the revenue costs of the Cathedral and towards securing external funding to support capital projects.

The Fundraising Coordinator will work collaboratively across the departments and in collaboration with the Rochester Cathedral Trust. All Cathedral employees are expected to work as a team to ensure the Cathedral fulfils its mission.
