CST Client Advisor
Role:
As a CST Client Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in assisting clients transitioning from military to civilian life by providing tracking, referral, and job matching services. Working closely with the CST team, you will offer advice and guidance to both clients and employers, utilising ADAPT and the CTP jobs board (RightJob). This role requires a dedicated individual with exceptional communication skills and a passion for supporting others.
Reporting to the CST Team Leader and Support Centre Manager, you will contribute to the efficient operation of our office through your dedication and customer service skills.
This role offers flexible working hours, including options for full-time or part-time (minimum of 3 days or 21 hours) employment, and is open to job share arrangements with a salary of £22,000 pro rata.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the progress of clients through telephone and email tracking, adhering to CTP CCMP and relevant working instructions.
- Refer clients to appropriate resources such as Employment Advisors, Specialist Employment Consultants, or Career Consultants, in alignment with CTP CCMPs.
- Provide responsive helpdesk support to employers and service leavers requiring assistance with CTP online services.
- Accurately record all interactions with clients and employers on the CTP ADAPT BMS.
- Track client outcomes post-discharge and record successful "Settled" outcomes as per CST CCMP.
- Encourage employers to utilize the Right Job registration and vacancy posting process.
- Assist in promoting CTP services to service leavers and employers.
- Provide cover for other team members during absences or holidays.
- Undertake additional tasks and requests as directed by the CST Team Leader / Support Centre Manager.
Person Specification:
Essential Competencies:
- NVQ Advice and Guidance (Level 3) or equivalent.
- Experience in guiding, advising, and supporting individuals.
- Self-motivated team player dedicated to achieving successful outcomes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a personable manner and strong telephone technique.
- Proficient in IT and keyboard skills.
- Experience in business administration, including database and customer relation management systems.
- Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to achieving goals.
Desirable Competences:
- Empathy with the challenges faced by Armed Forces personnel in civilian employment.
- Understanding or interest in the employment market and recruitment.
- Experience in marketing, promotion, or customer liaison.
- NVQ Advice and Guidance (Level 4) or higher.
Security Clearance:
- Successful candidates must undergo Ministry of Defence security clearance, requiring residency in the UK for over 5 years.

Salary: £40,845 per annum rising to £42,996 after 12 months in London. £36,817 per annum rising to £38,968 after 12 months outside of London.

The role focuses on the delivery of consultancy and training. It is responsible for meeting income targets, managing project budgets, and coordinating projects. This is done with oversight and support from senior and lead consultants.
You will:
- develop bids and work with clients independently – gaining input and agreement from other consultants on viability and the decision to bid
- pitch for work
- manage and coordinate projects from end to end, with support from senior and lead consultants
- communicate and influence effectively
- coordinate the work of existing associates and agree fees within an established framework.
You don’t need to have experience working as a consultant before. But we need you to be curious, analytical and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

A new opportunity for a Funding Officer working with The Phoenix Way Partners (TPW). This is a national collaborative partnership created during the Covid-19 pandemic as a response to the structural inequalities which Black and Ethnic Minority communities and community-led organisations face in relation to influencing and accessing grant funding in the UK.
This Funding Officer position is looking after the North East and Cumbria region within a wider team of eight people across England, and reporting into a Funding Manager.
In your role you will:
- Assess requests for funding and manage grants using best practice, thematic expertise, and the experience of customers and stakeholders to improve our grant making and inform our decision making.
- Share learning from your conversations, project visits, grant holder reports and evaluations with other colleagues so that we can maximise our impact.
- Ensure our grant management and assessment play an effective part in contributing to the Fund’s knowledge and learning as a grant maker.
- Manage your own caseload, liaise with grant holders, partners, undertake project visits, identify and manage risk, supporting organisations to deliver their projects and measure their impact
- Have a passion for equitable grant making and be part of an inclusive team. You will be able to demonstrate a “can do” attitude and a solution focused approach.
You will ideally live in or near the geographic area listed that this role will cover or have excellent knowledge of the area. We are looking for a new full time, 17-month fixed term Funding Officer to join the passionate, vibrant and friendly team in the North West Region to be part of ensuring our funding supports a wide variety of communities and places locally. The role will cover Greater Manchester, with occasional work in other parts of the North West.
The team is based remotely across the North West of England and this role is to support delivery in Greater Manchester. Ideally the successful candidate will live in Greater Manchester and will be part of the local team, led by a Funding Manager, and comprised of several other Funding Officers.
As a member of the funding team you will assess applications for funding and manage grants from our Reaching Communities and Partnerships programmes. You will use your local knowledge and experience, and the experience of our grant holders and local stakeholders, to ensure we are making the best decisions on the grants we make. By working closely with people and communities from a defined geographical area, you will understand what matters to them and where our funding can make the biggest difference.
You will gain an understanding of our vision, our commitment to equity and inclusion and our funding programmes. You will be responsible for your own caseload; liaise with grant recipients, visit projects, identify and manage risks, supporting organisations to deliver their projects and measure their impact.
