Are you a communications professional looking for your next move? Are you experienced in creating, commissioning and refining content and communications for a wide range of external audiences and the media? If so, CFG would like to hear from you. We're looking for a Communications Officer to join our Policy and Communications Directorate. You'll have experience in working across PR/media relations, campaigning and content creation for professional/B2B/charity audiences and working to tight deadlines. CFG promotes remote-first working, although we do have office space at our registered address in Southwark, SE London for those team members who prefer an office setting. We expect all of our team members to attend all staff, directorate, or team anchor days on a regular basis in London. All staff anchor days are currently quarterly, and directorate and smaller team anchor days are organised on an ad hoc basis. If you have any questions about this we'd be happy to chat about our in-person expectations with you.
Please note that attending our flagship events will be required for this role, as well as work outside core hours occasionally as part of our events programme.

Job Title: Internal Comm Lead
Fixed Term: 12 month fixed term contract
Hours: 35 per week (part time or flexible working will be considered)
Location: Home based with travel to different locations
Salary: £37,000 plus working from home allowance

This exciting Senior Policy & Public Affairs Officer (Scotland) role will manage a portfolio of policy and influencing activities and play a significant role developing the Foundation’s policy and public affairs work in Scotland. This is an opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading charities and deliver social change by addressing the root causes of mental health problems and improving the mental health of people in Scotland.
What does the role involve?
- Developing and sustaining relationships with valuable decision-makers, influencers and allies
- Developing and implementing impactful influencing plans
- Providing policy intelligence and analysis and writing evidence-based submissions, policy reports, position papers, briefings and blogs
- Engaging with people with lived experience
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
- Ability to shape and lead policy programmes professionally and strategically, working with others
- Skill in building strong relationships with relevant external stakeholders including senior officials, elected representatives, people with experience of mental health problems and people who experience inequity
- Experience of working in a public policy role, with experience of a range of policy and public affairs approaches and work
- Knowledge of public health and/or mental health policy or a related field

The interview for this position will be held face-to-face in Glasgow. We have moved to a hybrid working model of 2 days per week in the office and the rest working from home.

This role will lead on providing senior technical advice, leadership and guidance to the planning, delivery and monitoring of communications activities across the organisation.
Are you an ethusiastic and creative individual that enjoys supporting and working with others? Are you interested in championing Action Hampshire's communication activities?
The successful candidate will join our existing communications team and support our communications and engagement. This role will lead on providing senior technical advice, leadership and guidance to the planning, delivery and monitoring of communications activities across the organisation. This includes supporting on elements of our communication activities; newsletter creation, website maintenance, graphic design and social media.
We are looking for someone with a creative eye, good interpersonal skills and excellent attention to detail who can communicate effectively. A key part of the role will involve exploring and implementing a data visualisation tool to efficiently monitor and review the reach and effectiveness of Action Hampshire’s communications (including social media platforms, newsletter, website hits and publication downloads, event attendance).
