Purpose of the Job 

Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind run an innovative crisis prevention service designed as a place for children and young people at risk of mental health crises to de-escalate and have access to a skilled staff team to support them. The Circle is open out of hours (3pm-11pm or 12pm-8pm weekends and holidays), 365 days a year, and has been designed to reduce the need for young people to attend A&E. Co-designed by young people, it is a friendly and accessible space.The mental health adviser role is key to the support that children and young people will receive on site, and you will have the opportunity to work with 5-18 year olds, as well as providing signposting and support to parents/carers and other agencies.

This Mental Health Adviser role would suit an experienced Mental Health Youth Worker, CAMHS support worker, Youth Counsellor, Child Wellbeing Practitioner, Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner, an Assistant Psychologist with some training in MH interventions like CBT,  or other roles that have given you experience and skills in  working with Children and Young People presenting with difficulties related to their Mental Health.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team dedicated to providing support to children and young people who are at risk of mental health crisis, or may otherwise attend A&E.
• Offer one to one support via drop in or appointments, and be child-centred in that support.
• Work alongside children and young people, their parents/carers and families in increasing self-management of presenting difficulties.
• Signpost anyone accessing the service to appropriate and local on-going support; and build up your knowledge and networks of such support.
• Understand and implement safeguarding procedures, and be familiar with safeguarding law, and how it applies to our work.
• Follow risk procedures, be familiar with completing risk assessments, and refer to on-call or senior managers appropriately.

You will have:

• A minimum of two years’ experience of supporting children and/young people in a mental health service or similar role in a paid or volunteer capacity, in a 1:1 and group setting
• An ability to form supportive relationships with families, and tailor support to individual need.
• A child-centred approach to work.
• Working knowledge of child and adult safeguarding.
• Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of equality and diversity issues and the ability to integrate into your work.

We’re looking for passionate and dedicated Project Worker to join our Complex Needs Services in Camden. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team providing tailored support to clients with multiple and complex needs, including mental health challenges, substance use, offending behaviour, and physical health issues. Using a Biopsychosocial model and working within a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE), you will deliver high-quality, holistic support to help clients achieve stability and move forward in their lives.

Role responsibilities will include;

• Providing personalised support to clients with multiple disadvantage, including poly-substance misuse, mental health concerns, and histories of trauma.
• Conducting needs and risk assessments, and work collaboratively to develop and implement support plans.
• Promoting harm minimisation and recovery, enabling clients to set and work towards their own goals.
• Supporting clients to develop life skills, manage relationships, build social networks, and access external services and community resources.
• Facilitating group activities and structured interventions as part of our in-house recovery programme.
• Working in a multi-disciplinary setting, coordinating with other professionals to create integrated care plans.

About you:

• Experience of working with multiple disadvantage individuals, including those with substance use, mental health issues, or histories of offending and trauma.
• Proven ability to provide personalised assessments, support planning, and casework.
• Strong understanding of the challenges that disrupt clients' journeys towards independence, such as substance misuse, mental health issues, and domestic violence.
• Excellent crisis management skills and the ability to respond effectively to challenging situations.

About the Role:

As a Specialist Multiple Disadvantage Worker, you will be responsible for delivering targeted, person-centred interventions for individuals within SHP’s Camden Adult Pathway Hostels. Your role will involve holding a designated caseload and working closely with the wider client group through our in-house recovery programme. With a strong focus on harm minimisation, dual diagnosis, and strengths/recovery frameworks, you’ll help to empower service users to make positive changes and progress towards independence.

This is a unique role that requires you to build relationships of trust with service users, many of whom have faced significant barriers such as mental health challenges, substance use, and complex trauma. Your support will enable them to access crucial assessments, interventions, and treatments, enhancing their ability to utilise external statutory and community resources. You will also provide guidance and best practice standards to Project Workers, helping to set a benchmark of excellence in delivering complex needs support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist interventions and personalised support for service users, including those with complex needs such as mental health issues, substance use, and physical health challenges.
• Develop and implement person-centred support plans, monitor individual progress, and ensure best practice is adhered to within the service.
• Work dynamically with service managers, project workers, and other professionals within the Camden Accommodation Pathway to deliver tailored interventions and improve outcomes for service users.
• Foster proactive working relationships with Adult Social Care, Health, Mental Health, and other specialist providers to improve access and opportunities for service users.
• Advocate for service users with experience of rough sleeping, helping them access the necessary assessment, intervention, and treatment to achieve recovery and maintain stability.
• Facilitate group work and support the in-house recovery programme, promoting a holistic approach to recovery and independence.

About You:

• Demonstrable experience working with individuals facing homelessness or complex needs, such as mental health challenges, substance use, and physical health issues. Experience in residential or accommodation-based services is a plus.
• A strong understanding of the health and social care sector, including how to navigate between and across specialties. A deep understanding of the barriers service users face on their journey towards independence, such as domestic violence, anger management, and learning impairments.
• Excellent person-centred engagement skills, group work facilitation, and the ability to manage complex caseloads. Strong team-working skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals.
• The ability to create, develop, and implement support plans, with strong time management skills and the ability to work independently, prioritise competing demands, and maintain high standards.

The St Mungo’s Pan London Rough Sleeping Teams (No Second Night Out and Somewhere Safe to Stay) provide a rapid response service, intervening to ensure no one needs to sleep rough. We are currently looking for people to join our teams as Night Assessment Workers in our No Second Night Out Assessment Hubs. In these roles you will: 

• Work as part of a busy team environment working closely with those affected by rough sleeping. 

• Provide a safe and supportive environment at night to clients; carrying out assessment when clients first arrive out the service.  

• Work on a 7 day weekly night rota pattern with an average of 3 waking night shifts in a row (for example 8pm–8.30am or 9pm–8am) 

About you 

These crucial roles will suit people with an interest in in developing key skills to build a career working in a support role, as well as:

• Some experience of dealing directly with the public and/or customers in a busy service environment. 

• Good communication skills and the ability to work with others effectively to get things done.

What you’ll be doing? 

This role has been developed to work within a specific Lambeth Primary Care Network (PCN) to support their older population access the right support and services that they need to live and age well. This is a new post, and the successful candidate will be key to ensuring the development of new partnerships and local relationships to support Lambeth’s ambitions to ensure older residents can live and age well. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Undertake mapping of the local community, using existing Age UK Lambeth knowledge and resources and creating new tools for this project to identify services and support available to older adults.

• Focus mapping exercise on identifying community interventions that will address health inequalities and improve wellbeing for older adults. 

• Using Age UK Lambeth Guides as a template, develop a specific, local guide/ directory for this project. 

• Organise, facilitate and deliver training sessions to PCN staff on how to use the guide, developing and building their understanding on local resources and provision in the local area.

• Network to identify new services and community groups to be included within the service guide.

About the charity: Cavernomas look like raspberries and are found in the brain and spinal cord.  They're formed of abnormal blood vessels with thin leaky walls, which can bleed at any age without warning.  1 in 625 people are thought to have a cavernoma, and whilst most people won't experience symptoms 1 in 2,700 do.  Symptoms can include haemorrhages, seizures and other neurological problems.  Treatment involves 'wait and see', neurosurgery or stereotactic radiosurgery; with no medications currently available.

Cavernoma Alliance UK (CAUK) is a member-led organisation, run by and for those impacted by cavernoma with more information available on our website. We work from a model of empowerment, recognising the value of our members’ lived experience to provide mutual support, improve standards of care and drive research into finding a cure.

Since the charity was founded in 2005 it has grown from a volunteer-led organisation based in Dorchester to a UK wide registered charity that now has 2 part-time permanent staff, looking to increase to 4 Part-time staff (all home-based), 50+ volunteers, and 4,000+ members. Our support services include a helpline, buddying, counselling, online support groups, meet-ups, webinars, lectures, newsletter, leaflets, website and social media. 

About the roles: The Member Support Assistant is responsible for assisting our Volunteer Manager with administration relating to the support of the charity’s 4,000 members and volunteers.  This includes offering a professional service to members of CAUK, typically via phone, email, online, chat, or on occasion in person. The role involves supporting the membership and volunteering processes, ensuring all admin is accurate and up to date.  Over time the post-holder will be expected to build a good working knowledge of members and volunteers.  They will also be expected to develop strong communication skills, including active listening, alongside the ability to multitask, manage time and prioritise.

The Events and Office Assistant is responsible for assisting the Charity Manager with the administration of events alongside some general office activities for the charity.  This includes assisting with the organisation of the virtual Annual Conference, virtual Monthly Information Webinars, in-person Annual Snowdon Climb for Cavernoma, online Cavernoma Awareness Month activities, in-person Autumn Lecture, virtual Secret Santa, attendance by volunteers at external conferences, and any other events organised by CAUK.  As and when time permits in between events the post-holder will also assist with some general office activities, including posting t-shirts/fundraising packs to fundraisers and arranging Zoom meetings.

TLC: Talk Listen, Change is seeking an engagement worker to conduct individual sessions and group work with adults experiencing homelessness who are seeking to change their harmful behaviours. In this role, you will be part of a broader partnership that delivers a range of interventions to support individuals, families, and the wider community. Your work will focus on helping clients reduce harmful behaviours and work towards safer, healthier lifestyles, and ensure clients are supported for other complex needs within a partnership approach.

The role

As an Engagement Worker, you’ll play a crucial role in transforming the lives of adults experiencing homelessness by helping them address and change harmful behaviours. You’ll identify their challenges and work to create actionable plans for improvement, collaborating with various agencies to connect them to the resources they need. With the support of senior staff, you’ll implement effective risk management strategies and serve as a mentor, delivering targeted programme materials focused on harm reduction, early intervention, and behaviour modification in both individual and group settings. The Role

FILE is seeking an early career Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Analyst to join a small and integrated team to provide support across a broad portfolio of work.

This is an exciting role within a critical area of the organisation building our evidence base on impact and using it to support learning with a range of stakeholders. The Impact & Learning team at FILE is responsible for generating evidence and learning through collated partner reporting to enable FILE and its partners to be as impactful as possible. This involves collating and analysing data, creating and facilitating learning processes within FILE and with our funded partners and ensuring evidence and insights are fed back into FILE’s and our partners’ strategies. The team works closely with all functions across the wider organisation.

The successful candidate will perform tasks related to the collection and analysis of data from partner reports as well as learning from evidence regarding FILE’s activities. This position will primarily focus on supporting 4 key areas:

• Monitoring: Enabling and supporting the collection of robust and consistent reports and data from partners to support their progress towards impact.
• Data management: Partner data collation and verification from different data sources e.g. reviewing indicator data and qualitative reports.
• Donor and board reporting: Preparation and presentation of data and evidence for our donors and board to demonstrate our progress towards impact
• Supporting internal and external learning: enable learning at all levels of the organisation through designing and delivering learning processes with FILE staff and partners

Note that FILE does not conduct in house evaluations but works closely with a broad range of experts and partners to build the necessary evidence base to understand impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting our portfolio and grants team in monitoring and reviewing grant documentation in line with FILE’s results framework including providing grant assessments.
• Reviewing and verifying partner reports, providing summaries for internal portfolio, Executive teams and FILE’s auditing.
• Monitoring progress of individual grants and portfolios including data extraction in line with FILE’s Results Framework and Case Database.
• Maintaining and refining, as required, data collection and management tools including partner reporting templates in collaboration with our Grant Management team.
• Summarising relevant data for inclusion in our half-yearly donor reports and quarterly updates for our Board and Senior Leadership Team.
• Supporting our Impact and Learning Manager to coordinate strategic inputs from portfolio teams relating to progress and results for inclusion in donor reports.
• Supporting our Impact and Learning Manager with the development and facilitation of webinars and learning sessions for FILE’s key audiences.
• Preparing and sharing relevant data in a compelling format for bi-annual learning processes with FILE portfolio teams.

The Foundation for International Law for the Environment (FILE) was set up in 2018 to be the major philanthropic re-granter scaling up legal action globally to tackle the climate and the biodiversity crises.

You will be in a specialist role designed to work with people with complex support needs relating to: mental ill health, physical health & substance use needs. The Duty Worker will be working closely with survivors of domestic abuse and other VAWG (violence against women and girls) to provide high quality independent support to survivors at all risk levels and their children. The post holder will play a crucial role in the service delivery, being the first point of contact for survivors who are referred to the Gaia Centre by contacting the survivors, assessing their needs and risks, carrying out and implementing safety plans and needs and will ensure an effective handover to the relevant GAIA team for ongoing support or referring to another appropriate agency for support.

The duty worker will also empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical, and personal welfare support. You will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options.

The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.

• To liaise with our administrative team concerning the progress of administrative checks and completion of the Form F.
• To be available for supervision, consultation or liaison as required.
• To be available to present completed Form Fs to the virtual fostering panel and provide support to the applicants through this process.
• To be aware of our child protection procedures and immediately report any child protection matter or concerns to a TACT manager and any relevant placing authority and the area authority.
• To carry out the duties in line with our Foster Carer and Supervising Social Worker Standards and Practice Guidance.

Rates of Pay for Form F Assessors

• We will pay £2000  (inclusive of VAT) upon successful completion of a Form F Assessment.
• £33 per hour for assessments which are not completed, and any other piece of work.

As a Children and Young Persons Support Worker (CYP Domestic Violence Advocate), you will be required to:

• Conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments and ensure each CYP receives an individual tailored support package that fully meets their identified needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Provide one to one support to children and young people living in families affected by domestic abuse.
• Effectively manage a caseload of different risk level cases of approx. 12-15 young people and provide specialist support to reduce the risk and increase safety
• Review the assessment of risk on an ongoing basis, ensuring appropriate and immediate action is taken in respect of any CYP facing significant harm, making the necessary referrals to MARAC and local safeguarding processes as required given the legal framework relating to the protection of children and the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Children's Board.
• To consult with and involve children and young people in making decisions about themselves and the development of the service.
• Establish links with relevant statutory partners in Social Care, Education, Health, Police and Housing, with the intention of supporting children and young people who have been impacted by domestic abuse. Attend meetings as required.
• To advocate on behalf of children and young people with experience of domestic abuse to ensure the diverse needs of children and young people using the service are met
• Experience of delivering effective multi-agency and partnership work, including building relationships with statutory and voluntary CYP service providers
• Effective organisational skills, including experience with planning, prioritising, managing crises and a caseload, and maintaining accurate and confidential case records

This is an exciting home based opportunity working with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.

Position: S11212 Stroke Association Support Coordinator (two posts)

Location: Home-based, Bury. However, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings).

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week (flexible working available)

Salary: Circa £21,391 per annum

The Role
