Oaklands & St Kilda is a pair of 6 unit supported accommodation mental health rehab services working with young people between the ages of 18-25 who may have experienced a mental health related hospital admission to gain and develop skills for future independent living. The service will support individuals transitioning from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services to Adult services.
The service forms part of a pair of services supporting up to 12 individuals at any one time across the sites, providing a welcoming and supportive environment for young people across London on a spot purchase basis.
Support workers will manage a number of young people to help them to identify, plan and achieve their goals, develop relationships meaningful to them and achieve greater independence by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.
This is a Waking Night role working to support young people throughout the night at the service.
This role will consist of 3 weekly shifts from 22:00 to 08:00

What you'll do:
Building supportive, trusting relationships with young people and creating a positive atmosphere
Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
Conducting key work sessions as required, that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
Co-producing ongoing assessment and management of risks in collaboration with young people with an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance to support young people s to independent living e.g. budgeting, cooking, establishing a night time routine
Supporting young people to maintain a healthy environment and where appropriate assisting them to clean their accommodation and maintain good personal hygiene
Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents
Managing referrals, completing assessments and obtaining and maintaining all relevant paperwork
Developing productive relationships with partner organisations to improve service outcomes
Adhering to lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness in relation to the health and safety of yourself and colleagues
Involving young people in the design, development and delivery of the service

About the role
Sightsavers is supporting the Ministry of Health (MoH) of Liberia to attain its disease elimination agenda for neglected tropical diseases (NTDs).The NTD team in Liberia are therefore looking for a Neglected Tropical Diseases Programme officer, to provide programmatic and strategic support to the NTDs projects Liberia.
Reporting to the Country Program Manager the role coordinates both county level and national level activities, ensuring projects are planned, implemented, monitored and evaluated to the highest standards. The post-holder will work closely with Ministry of Health (MoH) and implementing partners ensuring information from monitoring, evaluation and other assessments is actively to inform and adjust project implementation where necessary. If you have previous experience working within NTDs at officer level this might be a great opportunity to join our team.
Key accountabilities include but not limited to:
- Support Program implementation in line with work strategy, ensuring all objectives are met through proper implementation and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with the NTD Program of the MoH of Liberia office to implement and monitor appropriate actions to improve efficiency and quality of project implementation.
- Work with the MoH and partners on how to interpret and use data/findings to guide decision making.
- Support partners to ensure learnings from project implementation are appropriately documented.
- Ensure timely and high-quality reporting (both narrative and financial)
- Support the NTD team of the MoH and regional health teams in monitoring drug supplies, surgical equipment, and other NTD supply inventories and balances in the counties, districts and communities.
- Support the NTD program of MoH with in country data reporting and both reports and requests for drugs and relevant supplies such as FTS kits from WHO.
- Assist the MoH and partners to identify and promote relevant NTD indicators for inclusion in the national HMIS.
- Support the MoH and participate in conducting, where needed, treatment coverage surveys, impact assessment surveys, surveillance surveys, and project baseline surveys
- Work with the Country Director in collaborating and networking with MoH and other stakeholders to ensure support for dossier preparation, transition and sustainability of the programme.
- Participate in all meetings and activities planned by partners in NTD projects and provide feedback.
Knowledge, skills and experience
Essential:
· Degree (or equivalent) in relevant field (Health, Project Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Health)
· Extensive experience working at programme officer level, ideally in an INGO setting
· Technical knowledge of one or more of the five leading PCT NTDs.
· Proven experience of engaging with Government line Ministries.
· Experience of designing/managing health programmes at district or national levels using a health systems approach
· Fluency in written and spoken English language and local working language(s).
· Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
· Strong IT skills
· An understanding of and commitment to equality of opportunity for persons with disability

This role offers hybrid working between home and either our Blackpool office, surrounded by excellent amenities or our Ashburton office, situated on the edge of the beautiful Dartmoor National Park (a robust home broadband connection is essential). You will need to live within an easily commutable distance of the office either by car or public transport, we suggest up to an hour's commute. During the probation and training period you will be required to come into the office at least 2 days a week.
Please note that this service is operational every day of the year and the successful applicant will be required to work on some weekends and bank holidays. Currently this is circa 1 in 4/5 weekends.

The role will start with RPR cases, developing into other areas of advocacy for which training will be provided.
What is an RPR?
As a Relevant Person’s Representative you will have a case load of people to visit on a regular basis to check that they are well looked after and safe from harm. Checking if they are happy in their place of care and that the carers are following correct processes. Reports are then submitted to the local council department with your feedback from your visit.

Summary of duties:
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the administrator will support the Equipment Service Team to achieve a high standard of service delivery.
The administrator will also support the Communities Team and CEO with organising and delivering activities run as part of our community development projects.
The administrator will also provide broader administrative support to the CEO and to the charity.
Responsibilities:
● Be the first point of contact for equipment service clients, usually by phone and email
● Book appointments for clients for the equipment service
● Input client records into our database
● Send out surveys and summarise the responses
● Schedule meetings and take minutes where necessary. This may include taking minutes at Board meetings
● Support with event and activities’ organisation such as booking rooms, preparing publicity, registering participants etc ● Typing standard CfD letters e.g. invoices, communication with clients etc.

● Answer the CfD office telephone and take messages for staff

• Strengthening our relationship with community organisations and other community based services, including those who support people from minority ethnic groups.
• Exploring how we can extend our work to reach more Deaf and hard of hearing people aged under 50.
• Developing content for our website so that it becomes a resource for organisations who want to improve their inclusion of Deaf and hard of hearing people.
The post holder will be a part of CfD’s Communities Team and will be expected to support the work of our other community projects i.e. our Deaf People Together and Community Hub projects. The post holder will be based at The Vassall Centre, Gill Avenue, Fishponds, Bristol BS16 2QQ.
The main responsibilities are to:
• To support the delivery of the Connecting People to Communities project so that it meets its aims by:
- Increasing our contact with organisations and hubs that work with minority ethnic groups throughout Bristol, particularly with those who support older people, and with organisations based in areas of deprivation.
- Working with community hubs (e.g. community centres, libraries etc) to provide regular CfD “drop-ins” – primarily as a first contact point and to alleviate isolation and loneliness.
- Signposting and referring individuals to appropriate services, and supporting individuals with connecting to communities.
- Providing advice and guidance to community hubs on how to make their venues, events and activities accessible to and inclusive of Deaf and hard of hearing people.
- Providing information on activities and events for Deaf and hard of hearing people across Bristol and local hubs.
- Finding out what hard of hearing people in Bristol would like to see CfD offering and what support they need.
• To support the work of our Communities Team by:
- Helping to run events so that local Deaf and hard of hearing people and communities have their say about how services are developed.

- Developing positive relationships between service providers and Deaf and hard of hearing people, and advising providers on how to improve their services to become more accessible and inclusive.
