The role of Project Administrator is a permanent position. We will consider applications for the role on a full or part-time basis, with a minimum of 22.5 hours per week.

The focus of this role is to ensure the smooth running of the Household Energy Services (HES) team by providing team-wide administrative support and taking responsibility for coordination of daily and weekly tasks, maintaining accurate and detailed records, whilst overseeing processes and procedures that ensure HES is compliant with GDPR and Health and Safety requirements. You will work across our fuel poverty and retrofit projects supporting project managers and key staff to ensure administrative tasks are completed to a high standard.

Pay and conditions

• The role is full-time however part-time will be considered, (minimum of 22.5 - 37.5 hours per week).
• The salary for the role will be £29,864 - £32,816.
• You will be entitled to 25 days paid holiday (plus statutory holidays).

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

• Importing batches of client information into our client management system and ensuring uploads are working correctly. Addressing errors on our client database: merging data where it is held across multiple client records, deleting incorrect enquires and deleting duplicate client records.
• Make outbound calls to clients when required, such as booking home visits, and keeping client records up to date.
• Support HES team annual leave process, checking managers have approved internal team requests and updating allocations against projects on the staff planner.
• Manage and keep track of HES subscriptions to services or packages and coordinate payments and purchase orders with project managers. Make sure any details and logins are GDPR compliant.
• Responsibility for HES complaints handling procedure – providing guidance to managers handling complaints to ensure adherence to policy and tracking and recording responses.
• Support senior HES managers with recruitment work; liaising with appropriate teams within CSE in producing HES recruitment materials; onboarding new HES starters including providing thorough team specific information for line managers.
• Support senior HES managers with probations and interim review meetings; tracking progress towards probations. Tracking progress towards appraisal SMART objectives with support from the line manager.
• Be a GDPR champion for the HES team. Working with CSE’s GDPR officer and project managers to ensure procedures are compliant.
• Take a proactive approach to problem solving. Influence and contribute to improving HES systems and processes.
• Supervise and mentor the HES Project Administrator, support their learning and taking ownership for ensuring consistency of HES admin provision.

AWF is seeking a confident and highly organised Development Officer to join our ambitious External Affairs team on a part-time basis for 9 month maternity contract, beginning end September. The team is committed to cultivating a diverse pipeline of donors – individuals, corporations and foundations - and stewarding current donors whose contributions support AWF’s mission to ensure that wildlife and wild lands endure in modern Africa.This role is central to delivering AWF’s fundraising goals in the UK.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Donor Engagement UK, the Development Officer’s role is to provide back-end support to the UK fundraisers supporting the moves management process and smooth running of the virtual office, ensuring compliance with UK laws. The position will manage all elements of the virtual office, administration and reporting and support the team in managing portfolios of donors and prospects targeting mid-level and high net worth individuals, corporates and foundations.  

Key Responsibilities

Administration

• Manages virtual offices and membership programme payment processing in collaboration with our data services team based in the US.  
• Manages post where it relates to membership mailings. Manages orders for stationery and AWF materials needed to support mailings, events, and donor management (internal and external contracts).
• Support UK Director and Senior Manager, Donor Engagement in organising donor meetings.
• Manage travel and logistics for visiting AWF staff to the UK.

Portfolio growth and stewardship

• Works closely with the global research team to develop prospect lists for UK donors/partners – ensuring AWF is using the best possible tools for research and prospecting in the UK mindful of GDPR.
• Support fulfilment of UK donor stewardship plans to ensure all donors have appropriate and considerate communications from AWF working with AWF’s Communications team, Digital Officer and Director of Annual Giving.

Donor Information Management

• Oversees RE records for UK donors and prospects, making sure mailing lists are correct and can easily be drawn down for communications, maintaining accurate records of all donor interactions, individuals’ programmatic interests, trends in giving, and type of support to solicit.
• Works with Data Services and the UK team to review portfolios and make sure amendments are made on Raiser Edge ( RE).

Content Development and Communications

• Manages regular mailings to target audiences, as well as invitations to organisational wide donor engagement activities.
• Sends donor acknowledgements by email and phone calls (for smaller gifts).

Requirements and Skills

• Knowledge of the UK fundraising market, UK data protection guidelines and best practice and experience of working within these guidelines.
• Demonstrable knowledge of all Microsoft office packages, mail merges and mailchimp software.
• Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge software.
• Persuasive written communication skills in both creative and technical formats.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to relate to people from a variety of cultural and national backgrounds.
• Demonstratable experience working remotely and independently. Global team working experience preferred or working across time zones.

Avon Needs Trees has a corporate partnerships programme with some strong partners and most excitingly, a lot of interest from dynamic & established companies.

You will join a fast-growing organisation that started in 2019 with four volunteers and has grown to a staff team of twenty (with more recruitment in the pipeline for 2024), over 1,000 volunteers and ownership of nearly 600 acres of land that will grow woodlands of over 160,000 trees. 

We are looking for an individual who can come in to review our current offering, help develop and shape a sector leading proposition for companies, develop new relationships and lead on exceptional account management. 

Corporates are one of the key areas of focus for our new fundraising strategy, released in September 2024 where we are aiming to build up a specialism in a smaller number of fundraising channels where we feel we have natural strengths and see opportunity. There is also the opportunity to get involved with other forms of fundraising, in particular the coordination of our major donor programme.

While Avon Needs Tress is a charity, the role would also suit someone from the commercial sector with relevant skill sets of account management and new business acquisition who is looking to move into the social and environmental impact space.

Who we are

- Deal promptly with donations received on a daily basis, following our processes to ensure supporters are appropriately thanked.
- Respond to day-to-day enquiries from Rainforest Trust UK supporters via phone, email and post.

About The Role

The Experience and Engagement team support WWT’s wetland sites to create amazing visitor experiences that connect people with nature and inspire them to protect it.

As Experiences Programme Manager you will plan, co-ordinate and work with our sites, other central teams and external contractors to deliver internal programmes of work to raise our standards of presentation, service, accessibility, interpretation and programming.

This is a fixed term role until 31 July 2025 to cover an internal secondment within the Experience and Engagement team. This role is based at our WWT Slimbridge site, with the option for hybrid working.  The hours are 30 per week over 4 or 5 days.You may occasionally be required to travel to our other wetland sites around the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead and innovate UK fundraising efforts, focusing on major donors and corporates.
• Develop a creative 3-year fundraising strategy and set actionable annual and quarterly objectives.

• Support the stewardship of existing major donor relationships, ensuring continued and increased support.
