This position will be based from our Cardiff Office (agile working agreement in place). We are looking for a Finance Assistant with an aptitude for numeracy to support the Finance Manager and Senior Finance Assistant. The successful candidate to this role will have some experience in Finance or a keen interest in launching their career in Finance. They should have great communication skills and be ready and willing to learn. What's on offer for the candidate is an immediately available, ongoing permanent contract. Main Purpose of Job
To assist the Finance Manager and Senior Finance Assistant
Main Duties
- To assist in the day to day running of the organisation’s Sales, Purchase and Nominal Ledger using Sage bookkeeping system.
- Assist in the maintenance of information of the Finances of the Organisation.
- Input information to track grants and funding using Access databases.
- Use computer programmes including Sage, MS Word, Excel and Access.
- To administer timesheets, expenses and annual leave applications.
- Use a range of skills to communicate efficiently and effectively to support staff within the organisation.

Chell Perkins Ltd are looking for FOUR people who are passionate about bringing positive change through fundraising. We want to nurture a new generation of fundraisers to provide charities with access to exceptional fundraising support.
We offer a four-month/16-week fully paid traineeship (approx £1,700pm gross) working with real clients in a fundraising consultancy and gaining a recognised certificate with education credits towards CFRE to give you a real headstart in working in the charity sector. There are a number of vacancies at Chell Perkins, and at the end of the course trainees will be eligible to apply for a permanent position.
This immersive programme starts on 2nd September 2024 and is home-based, with high-quality training and plenty of support from our experienced fundraising team.

We are looking for a Practitioner to join our team in Aylesbury.
Your challenge? To provide advice, assessments, brief and structured interventions and group programmes. As a Practitioner in this role you will be the initial contact for referrals into the service, conducting initial assessments via telephone, face to face and offering relevant and appropriate advice, harm minimisation, family interventions risk assessment and management, actioning onward referrals to partner agencies. You will also be required to manage a caseload.
An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. The role
We have a vacancy in the North East region for a Project Officer working 21 hours per week. You would be joining a dedicated and friendly team of regional staff and volunteers. The ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player is essential.
It is an exciting time to be joining Cruse, as we are in the process of improving our processes and services to strengthen the support that we offer to bereaved people and our volunteers. The postholder will coordinate and assist with the delivery of all aspects of service contracts in Stockton, supporting the Regional Manager and the wider team. The role is based at our Teesside Office in Middlesbrough, with some home working by agreement subject to service delivery requirements. The postholder must be able to work and travel in and around the Stockton / Teesside area. We are looking for three Complex Needs Practitioner to join our team in Aylesbury. The purpose of the role is to engage people in a variety of interventions, using a person-centred approach, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and achieve positive outcomes.
All Complex Needs Practitioners work flexibly across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings. The caseload will include a mixture of community and multi-agency referral pathways including health and social care.
A core part of the role will be working with people and their families to address holistic support needs across all aspects of the person’s wellbeing. This could include diverse work related to knife crime, 5 step family work, exploitation, physical and emotional health as well as substance misuse.

You will be joining us at an exciting time as we set up our new RNID Near You care home service in Somerset. As a Co-ordinator, you will focus and lead on developing and delivering our new care home service across the locality through sessions in care homes to residents, their visitors and staff, we will be offering:
- practical hearing aid support
- information on hearing loss and tinnitus
- hearing checks
You will be responsible for co-ordinating sessions across the region in care home settings and be able to recruit, train and manage a team of up to 30 volunteers to deliver the service across Somerset. You will have responsibility for the set up and running of these sessions and have good local knowledge of Somerset in order to seek new opportunities for delivery of our RNID Near you services.
We are looking to appoint a motivated person with a keen interest in supporting people with their hearing loss. While you will be home based, there will be regular travel to venues where we will provide drop-in clinics in community settings.
You want to make a difference in people’s lives and love to interact with various audiences, including volunteers, health & care professionals and service users. You have experience managing events, your own workload and are able to work evenings/weekends if required. You are able to physically assist clients with hearing aids sensitively, giving clear guidance and taking into account individual wishes and health needs.
You are ready to work for a home-working organisation and have good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word.
