Overall Purpose of the role:

 The Project Co-ordinator will be responsible for liaison with the Project Team and consultants on the delivery of a number of studies and activities as part of a National Lottery Heritage Fund award. 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

•  Lead on the New Jetty Project reporting to the Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager
•  Revising project work plans for the Jetty Project as appropriate, to meet changing needs and requirements with Management Team.
• Business Plan and Feasibility Study
• Supporting Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager on managing the day-to-day operational aspects of The National Lottery Heritage Fund resilience project. 
• Ensuring the Management Team keeps to schedules and agreed project plan. 
• Collect and organise data that is required for Management Team and Consultants
• Monitor expenses ensuring budgets are not overspent.
• Keeping details of all budgets.

· To create and maintain a log of work records, in an agreed way, ensuring all tasks are undertaken within pre defined time parameters

· Maintaining an online filing system for all elements of work plan

· Scheduling and attending meetings where required.

· Being the key point of contact for The National Lottery Heritage Fund

· Manage own diary and annualised hours contract.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Events team at The Not Forgotten as a hands-on operational Events Manager. We are looking for a professional events coordinator who seeks greater autonomy and managerial responsibility, while still being an expert at and willing to deliver the nuts and bolts of a wide variety of events within a very small team. This is all about exceptional people skills, pragmatic event delivery and ensuring maximum impact for our beneficiaries/benefactors/supporters in support of the Head of Events (Delivery) and Head of Fundraising. 

Overall responsibility of the job: Working in support of Head of Events (Delivery) and Head of Fundraising, to be TNF Events Manager; coordinating events as part of a small team. The position supports the delivery of a diverse national events programme and some international activities.

Your Role: As an event professional, ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience gained in an event coordination role and be ready to grow into a role with greater responsibility and autonomy. This is a hands-on event coordination role in a small team. Having a diplomatic and friendly manner with strong verbal and written communication skills, will be essential towards building relationships both internally and externally and while communicating with volunteers and beneficiaries. Event management/coordination skills are a key priority within this position, (especially delegate/beneficiary and event administration), combined with a meticulous, accurate and disciplined approach to work with strong IT and data management skills. Being able to prioritise a varied and busy workload and deliver to deadlines. Due to the nature of this exciting position within the charity, there is a requirement to attend events and meetings outside of normal working hours (including weekends) and travel as necessary, along with a relationship with beneficiaries, supporters, and gatekeepers.

CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit adoption agencies across the UK who specialise in finding homes for children in care. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The programme has developed a strong reputation for attracting a range of subject experts to deliver cost effective, engaging and useful training. The full programme is listed on the CVAA UK website and inlcudes topics such as LGBTQ+ parenting; therapy for children; identity formation; racism and anti-racism; parenting courses; theraplay and many more.

Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the delivery of the programme from mid to late July 2024. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent.

The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development and the Programme Administrator to ensure that the courses are full, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.

The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. As part of our fund management programmes, THET will be conducting a variety of international visits and events in the next 11 months. We require a consultant to lead the administration of the logistics involved in this work.

Assignment overview and scheduling

The consultant will provide logistical support across three main categories:

1. Scoping assessments in four sub-Saharan African countries, namely Ethiopia, Malawi, Somaliland and Zimbabwe
   1. A scoping assessment is a week-long series of in-person meetings with Ministry of Health and other relevant government sector representatives, subnational health agencies and government authorities, regulatory bodies, training institutions, FCDO, UK DHSC, WHO local offices.
   2. Each visit will likely involve up to 3 staff travelling from the UK to the country
   3. The consultant will be responsible for organising their travel rather than the scoping assessment meetings.
2. Delegation visit from Zimbabwe to UK
   1. A week-long visit of up to 7 Ministry of Health representatives and other national stakeholders to the UK
   2. The consultant will be responsible for organising their travel and some of the meetings while in-country.
3. Programme launch events in Ethiopia, Malawi, Somaliland and Zimbabwe
   1. A one-day long event in each country, with between 40-80 attendees
   2. Each event will likely see 2-3 staff travelling from the UK to the country. The consultant will be required to organise their travel and venue booking.

Knowledge, Skills and Expertise required

To successfully undertake this assignment, the Consultant should meet the following minimum requirements:

• International travel logistics experience, ideally in sub-Saharan Africa
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Budget preparation and tracking
• Proven organisational and administrative skills, with sound IT skills (Word and Excel)
• Flexibility and adaptability working within a small organisation
• Ability to work independently and take the initiative

The contract is for 40 days over eleven months. The Consultant will receive a daily rate of £180, which totals to £7,200 for the whole programme. The consultant will invoice THET on a monthly basis. Please note that this is non-negotiable and will cover all expenses apart from project-related travel and communication expenses. Where reasonable travel and communications expenses are incurred, the Consultant will be remunerated following submission of timely and accurate receipts.

Receipts must be kept, where possible, in order to claim for support costs. Consultants will not be expected to use their own funds to cover project-related costs.

Fairtrade Foundation We are recruiting for a Sustainable Sourcing Lead at the Fairtrade Foundation. This role is a new senior technical role to deliver and implement new and innovative solutions across Fairtrade supply chains. 

This role will be leading the supply chain development for a pioneering Fairtrade strategic initiative which is supporting UK grocery retailers to collaborate on sustainability in supply chains. This role will have a focus on two key commodities; cocoa and coffee and will be responsible for a team developing & implementing sustainable supply chain strategies for key identified commodities. Leading projects that will deliver increased impact for producers by delivering partnerships with key intermediary partners supplying retail, brands and out of home partners.

This role is an opportunity to work closely with our producer networks around the world, delivering impact for farmers and workers. About the National Suicide Prevention Alliance (NSPA)                       

The NSPA network has grown significantly since 2020. The number of organisations working with us has almost doubled and individual membership has increased four-fold. Whilst those running suicide prevention programmes are a significant proportion of our membership, a growing number are those whose core business is not suicide prevention but who recognise the need to take action and are seeking support to do so. 

There are more organisations than ever working to prevent suicide and it can be difficult to navigate the wealth of information available and connect with organisations that may be undertaking similar/ relevant work. Some may be unaware of or find it difficult to access evidence around what works, what is already happening and what can be built upon.

Your Role

You’ll lead the development and delivery of a suicide prevention community engagement strategy and plan, including an online hub and ambassador initiative to support capacity building in suicide prevention across England. You will: 

• Develop a more strategic approach to our engagement with members 

• Support the next step in the development of our network by building an online community hub, to support on-going knowledge-sharing, community connection and depth of engagement with our wide range of members. 

• Have the opportunity to build and manage relationships with NSPA members, people with lived experience and other key stakeholders.

• Manage the NSPA’s communications, working closely with the Membership & Communications Officers with strategic input from the Executive Lead.

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance has an exciting opportunity for an Aviation Director to join the Executive Team and to be responsible for all aspects of aviation and other, non-clinical, operational activities.  Also, as part of EHAAT’s strategic plan to gain its own Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in late 2025, the Aviation Director will form and lead the new AOC team supported by our experienced AOC transition Programme Manager.  As the AOC Accountable Manager, they will be responsible for all aspects of the safe, compliant and effective operation of our 2 AW169 helicopters in their life-saving role.

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, unlike NHS emergency services, is a charity. This free life-saving service is provided 24/7 by helicopters and rapid response vehicles.

Each critical care team consists of a pilot and co-pilot, a pre-hospital care doctor and a critical care paramedic.

They can be rushed to the scene with life-saving support equipment to deliver advanced clinical care, usually only in the hospital emergency department.

Once stabilised, the patient will be conveyed to the most appropriate hospital by air or land.

The Job

The Learning Networks Portfolio Manager will:

• Report to the Managing Director

• Be employed on a permanent contract

• Be based remote or hybrid, with regular travel to London

• Be paid a pro rata full-time equivalent salary of £45,000-50,000

The Role In Brief

This position plays a central role in the delivery of Koreo’s work; responsible for a portfolio of the company’s biggest and most established programmes. It will be a varied role and will require someone to lead project teams in the design and delivery of high quality national learning programmes, while also playing a key role in the development of Koreo as an organisation
better able to build a just and regenerative future.

1. Responsible for the successful delivery and development of a portfolio of national learning programmes and projects. This portfolio of work is primarily focused on cross-sector learning programmes that bring cohorts of people together around learning missions. Examples include Civic Futures and the London Engagement Collaborative
with the GLA.
2. Responsible for sustaining and growing the portfolio, and with it Koreo’s profile, network, and income. This might be focused on developing the existing programmes in the portfolio, or could include wider writing, public speaking, pitching and networking
which support the distribution of the work.
3. An internal leadership role in developing a just and inclusive culture in which a diverse team can do its best work. This includes line management of one Project Coordinator, development of organisational practice and process, and work with the team on culture and development.

We’re looking for someone with the following skillset:

Commitment to Koreo Mission:

● An interest and motivation in driving social change through learning, and supporting people to create a more just and regenerative world through learning and development.

● An interest in understanding how social change happens in a complex world, and a commitment to supporting social change work that is consciously anti-oppressive, aware of power and agency, and committed to facing the big, messy challenges of the 21st century in a way that is both just and regenerative.

Strategic Leadership:

● Experience of a role with responsibility for the leadership of a team or portfolio of projects.

● Experience of strategy development and implementation, either at a programmatic or an organisational level.

Programme Management & Delivery:

● Experience of leading the design and delivery of learning programmes in an equivalent environment. 

● Experience leading projects which required the effective management of a range of stakeholders through project and programme work. You will be able to demonstrate how you have engaged with those stakeholders to build their connection with and investment in the project, and how you managed that work. 

● Experience of designing and facilitating learning/collaboration/experimentation spaces for individuals and groups, either in an organisational or programmatic context. 

● Skills & Knowledge which enable you to design high quality programmes and learning spaces, to support individuals with their learning, and to facilitate group spaces. 

● A familiarity with subjects relevant to Koreo’s work is essential. Successful candidates will likely be interested in subjects like collective impact, new approaches to power, working in and with complex systems, organisational design and psychology, participatory futures, activism and organising, multi-disciplinary practice, and much more that we don’t know about yet.

● An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a range of stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written skills.

Operational Excellence:

● Experience working in a role which required excellent project planning, management & reporting. 

● Experience working in a role in which you were responsible for building and then delivering against project budgets.

● Experience working with a CRM to manage relationships and programmes of work. 

● An ability to organise and manage yourself, to work and deliver at pace to a high standard across a number of projects, to spot and solve problems as part of a proactive attitude.

● An ability to cope well with competing demands and changing environments, demonstrating flexibility and an ability to work in different settings and with different people.

Development & External Influencing:

● An understanding of the landscape of social change work, with a particular focus on UK non-profit and public sectors and the needs of people, organisations and networks in this space. 

● Experience of winning, and/or growing projects or programmes of work to deliver on a business development target. This may be through growing existing projects, writing proposals/tender responses, or by taking a new idea from concept to operational delivery. Experience of doing this in an equivalent context is desirable.

● An ability to influence externally, with a particular focus on the production of content (in the form of blogs, articles, reports, videos, infographics) that support campaigns and external influencing. 

People & Culture

● An ability to building positive relationships in a small, busy and ambitious team, leading and able to hold relationships with colleagues and our wider community.

● A commitment to your own personal development and learning, and an understanding of how that development will be supported by your work at Koreo.

It’s desirable, but not essential that the person has:

● An understanding of Justice, EDI, and anti-oppression and how to apply that understanding into organisational development.

● Experience of designing and delivering cross sector learning networks.

● Experience of client and account management in a consultancy context.

● Experience of designing spaces for cross-sector groups.

● Familiarity with practices like coaching, action learning, or particular methods of group work.

● Experience using Asana or an equivalent.

● Experience using Hubspot.

● An existing network in a relevant sector.

● An existing practice (and examples) of sharing your thinking or practice with a wider audience.

● Experience of line management.
