As well as evidence of high-level strategic thinking, you will be comfortable diving into the day-to-day work, and so a broad skill set is a must together with a sharp focus on delivering return-on-investment, demonstrating impact of campaigns on revenue, and building our audiences.

An exciting opportunity which will see the successful candidate working closely with the Operations Team, paramedics, doctors, and pilots to develop and deliver training to face-to-face fundraisers that brings the work of London’s Air Ambulance to life. The post holder will also work closely with external agency partners, as well as internal stakeholders and various teams within the charity.
The successful candidate will thrive on collaborative work, excel in presenting compelling narratives which inspire other fundraisers to do the same. An analytical mindset is essential, along with the ability to grasp facts and data to manage projects effectively. City Cancer Challenge Foundation (C/Can) supports cities around the world as they work to improve access to equitable, quality cancer care. C/Can was launched by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) at the 2017 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos. It was established as a standalone Swiss Foundation in January 2019 and is now active in 15 cities worldwide.
C/Can is launching a new funding strategy to further support its mission and commitment to cancer patients worldwide. This new approach includes diversifying and securing increased funding from a range of entities, including foundations, trusts, organizations, and other institutions. As part of this strategy, C/can is recruiting a Grants Officer to report to the Head of Global Public Affairs.
Purpose of role
Reporting to the Head of Global Public Affairs, the Grants Officer will support C/Can´s dynamic global team in mapping, prospecting, stewarding, and creating relationships with trusts, foundations, and institutions to increase and diversify their funding as they grow their impact globally.
This is a new role for an experienced hands-on prospect donor researcher and Grant Officer with a background working with health-related funders. The main aspect of the role will be to map grant opportunities, identify the most relevant ones for C/Can and coordinate the development of winning proposals. The Grant Officer will also manage one or more of the current partners within the health sector, creating proposals and fund requests, managing reports and financials, as well as all other practical work to steward partnerships.
This new position will work with C/Can´s Head of Global Public Affairs and Engagement and Partnerships Manager & Officer. It will be responsible for building a robust pipeline of potential donors and funding opportunities from a wide range of markets, including Europe and the USA. The ideal candidate will be an organized, hands-on, self-starter who enjoys problem-solving and working in a mission-focused, passionate team. They will have good stakeholder management skills and be able to multitask.
Key responsibilities
In coordination with the Head of Global Public Affairs:
● Research and scope potential new funding donors outside of the health area, identifying the right stakeholders to encourage and diversify funding for C/Can´s programmes making sure detailed, accurate records are retained.
● Support the development of a growing and robust pipeline of donor and funding opportunities outside the health sector, specifically focusing on grant opportunities.
● Ensure all grant proposals, concept papers, and other materials align with donor requirements and interests, supporting the full grant management lifecycle protocol.
● Ensure appropriate internal processes concerning new funding opportunities are followed to enable strategic decision-making, e.g., due diligence screening. This might encompass identifying and escalating risks to the Head of Global Public Affairs as necessary.
● Work closely with the Head of Global Public Affairs, Partnership & Engagement Manager, and Partnership & Engagement Officer on stewarding the prospect pipeline to ensure effective, joined-up cultivation of prospects.
● Draft clear and compelling fundraising material, including cases for support, funding proposals, concept notes, etc.; ensure the submission of high-quality applications, liaising with relevant C/Can staff.
● With the support of C/Can staff, manage the grant, monitor project execution, and develop technical and financial reports.
● Effectively manage time and workload to ensure progress against milestones and deadlines, reporting any possible challenges to the Head of Global Public Affairs.
● Manage one or more of the existing partners within the health sector, stewarding the grant process, creating proposals and fund requests, managing reports and financials, as well as all other practical work to steward partnerships.
Profile
Required work experience:
● At least 7 years of experience working in prospect research and/or grant management, preferably as part of national and international development work in global health.
● Demonstrated experience in prospect researching and grant writing, preferably in global health.
● Excellent writing skills with experience in bid/proposal writing, ideally having worked with US and European donors.
● Experience in successfully managing a portfolio of funding opportunities from prospect research to grant agreements.
● Ability to manage a range of internal and external stakeholders effectively and secure their inputs within tight deadlines.
Education
● Bachelor’s degree, master’s level preferred, or equivalent experience in global health, international development and/or business administration.
Languages
● Fluency in written and spoken English, other languages will be an advantage, especially in Spanish.

Harris Hill has an opening for an experienced Individual Giving Manager to join a health related charity for 3 months, but potentially longer to cover recruitment period.
Following the completion of a 5 year plan, the organisation has decided to invest in Individual Giving as it has been noted there is lots of room for improvement, one of which is dividing the team into separate retention and acquisitions teams. This will focus on the retention side. They will be recruiting permanently but need someone quite experienced to get the ball rolling on an interim basis.
As an IG Manager, you will be required to hit the ground running but also be quite hands on, ready to roll your sleeves up when needed. The role is hybrid based with one day per week in the office. They have two offices. One in central and the other in south London which could work well for someone commuting in from the Surrey and the south.
The client is willing to offer a daily rate on a PAYE basis of £164-200 per day, plus holiday pay, which would be payrolled via the agency. You could choose an umbrella company if you wish.

The Talent Set are delighted to be working with a prestigious, high profile organisation based in London to find their Prospect Research Executive. This is a One Year maternity cover role starting in May.
The charity offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working from their Chelsea or Sutton office 2 days per week.
As Prospect Research Executive, you will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy Research & Operations and the Prospect Research Manager to deliver the prospect research, pipeline management and information management function within Philanthropy and Partnerships. By doing so, you will be making a major contribution to growing the Charity's high value supporter base; and to maximizing its engagement with existing and potential supporters.
Key Responsibilities:
· Deliver high quality prospect research briefings on individuals, trusts and corporates for P&P, members of the Charity’s senior leadership as well as senior volunteers and board members.
· Ensure research output is timely, insightful, accurate and well presented; in compliance with relevant data protection laws and Charity’s Supporter Promise.
· Assist in prioritising senior volunteers’ approaches to prospects within their own networks.
· Assist in collecting and analysing data from the public domain in order to carry out due diligence research on prospective major donors, in line with the Charity’s Moral & Ethical Fundraising Policy and internal guidelines.
· Support the Prospect Research Manager with the management and analysis of prospect information through The Raiser’s Edge database according to P&P’s needs.
· Ensure database systems are maintained accurately by analysing and updating information on individuals, companies, trusts and foundations.
Person Specification:
· Excellent written communication skills and the ability to present complex information for a range of audiences in a variety of formats.
· Ability to work to the highest standards, to be analytical, methodical and thorough with meticulous attention to detail.
· Excellent knowledge of the principles of major gift fundraising to include identification, research, solicitation and stewardship.
· Experience of using and championing the intelligent use of Raiser’s Edge or a similar CRM system for data capture and reporting.
· An interest in cancer and health issues, with an understanding of NHS practices and procedures.
· A desire and aptitude to develop a career in prospect research.

- Performing new donor imports
- Carrying out manual amendments of supporter records on Access

- Writing/amending/running queries in MS Access to create monthly reports

Ideal candidate profile:
- Experience in a similar Data Officer position within a Charity
- Advanced Excel experience

Their education, mental health and social lives suffer. Their futures feel very uncertain. Young Lives vs Cancer is the only charity in the UK with specialist social workers dedicated to providing tailored psychosocial support to children and young people with cancer, and their families. About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Major Gifts Fundraiser to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for securing six-figure major gifts from individuals in a charity environment to meet ambitious targets. Your primary role will be to manage and develop relationships with wealthy and/or influential individuals and senior volunteers, inspiring and motivating them to meet objectives as per their solicitation plans. Additionally, you will manage and inspire the Philanthropy Executive and support them in executing donor cultivation events. This role is all about strengthening the already existing relationships and using already established contacts to tap into new potential donors.
You will be able to write successful, inspiring, emotive, and detailed six-figure proposals, tailored to a major donor audience. Moreover, you will support the creation of a major donor development board or committee and work towards creating a better stewardship journey for supporters. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference and can bring their expertise to help us achieve our goals.
About you
You are an experienced Philanthropy Fundraiser with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of securing significant grants, or you should be able to demonstrate transferable skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully soliciting donations and supporting senior volunteers and trustees to do so.
You should be persuasive and credible with all audiences, including those at the highest level, both internally and externally. You should also have the ability to disseminate and present complex information clearly and compellingly.
You should also be able to work effectively under pressure and to prioritise workload. We are looking for someone who is creative in their thinking and who can apply problem-solving techniques when met with complex situations. A team player with strong cross-team working, influencing, and negotiation skills is essential.
