The Discover DeCrypt Trustees wish to appoint a self-employed fundraising consultant to undertake fundraising to achieve at a minimum the matched funding target (circa £92k) for submission of The National Lottery Heritage Fund Round 2 bid for The Sanctuary Project in St Mary de Crypt Church, Gloucester. The work will need to be carried out between July 2024 and July 2025 with all matched funding pledged by that end date and any surplus funding contributing to unrestricted reserves.
Introduction Discover DeCrypt undertook a major Heritage Fund project between Jan 2018 and March 2022. This capital project saw the reimagining of the church and adjoining Tudor schoolroom buildings. The project saw the Victorian pews removed (and repurposed), a lift (sympathetic to the buildings) installed, new toilet facilities, new heating system, new fire and intruder system, new lighting scheme and a new kitchen. Underfloor heating was installed within the nave and a new floor laid. The schoolroom was made safe and usable as it had reached the point where it was unsafe for the public to access. There was new interpretation in both the church and schoolroom.
An important aspect of this project was community outreach as the buildings sit within the city centre and had lost much of the original congregation and community. After the initial capital phase, three years of operational support was designed to help embed the charity within the community through volunteer recruitment, workshops, activities, concerts, art exhibitions and theatre. The church has also grown over this period, with regular services, weddings, funerals, and christenings.
The Sanctuary Project is the next phase of the Discover DeCrypt Story. It will see the conservation and interpretation of important Mediaeval and Tudor Wall paintings, Mediaeval stonework, and Victorian stained-glass windows. As well as the conservation work, the Sanctuary area and the elements within it will be researched and interpreted for the visitors to understand and enjoy. A very important part of this project is community engagement and audience development including giving students and the wider public access to conservation and heritage skills.

Main purpose and scope of Role

THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Membership and Marketing Manager to join our small but busy Digital team on a fixed term contract for up to 12 months. Reporting to the Director of Engagement and Communications, you will be responsible for the membership and marketing function within the RCSLT to support and engage with our members at all stages of their careers. This is a Maternity Cover post that sits within the Engagement and Communications Team where you will lead and promote our external facing products, campaigns and services. As Membership and Marketing Manager you will be responsible for managing the delivery of member engagement plans, ensure consistent communication with our members internally, plan and deliver activities to promote SLT as a career and support the overall engagement and communications strategy.

The ideal candidate will have marketing qualifications or extensive marketing experience, have strong knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce is desired), excellent IT skills and knowledge of email marketing systems. The candidate must be highly organised, self-motivated with a positive approach to all situations and be confident in presenting to stakeholders. National Growth

Purpose of Role:
To work with the Director, other staff and the Board of Trustees to develop and deliver an effective digital marketing and branded communications strategy to ensure Freedom for Animals is able to deliver its campaign objectives and build its brand and ensure brand loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
● To ensure all material adheres to the brand values, identity and marketing strategy, aligning this with the strategic plan for the organisation

Purpose of the role
The Community and Participation Manager will be a key member of NAE’s Neighbourhood’s team, responsible for ensuring the effective planning, coordination, and delivery of a wide range of community projects and events that engage and inspire our local communities (predominantly from the Global Ethnic Majority). Based from within NAE’s purpose built creative space, in the heart of one of Nottingham’s most diverse areas - Hyson Green, the post holder will work with local community partners, schools and other key stakeholders to ensure the community programme is representative of the diverse voices from our local communities and has their involvement through all that we do.
Main duties of the role
With strategic oversight from the Head of Neighbourhood develop and deliver a diverse range of activity with and for the community including (but not limited to) workshops, festivals, conferences, and functions, ensuring they are aligned with NAE’s overall vision, goals and budget.
Supporting the Head of Neighbourhoods to identify and secure external funding opportunities, sponsorships, and partnerships to support the events when required.
Act as lead contact with key stakeholders, including community groups, schools, partners, citizen panels, artists, vendors, and local authorities, to ensure smooth collaboration and communication.
Support the Comms team to develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to raise awareness of projects and events with a focus on attracting diverse audiences.
Manage budgets and financial reporting for community projects, ensuring that expenses are within budget and that financial records are accurate and up to date. In line with the overarching Neighbourhoods strategy, develop project plans, budgets, and timelines and maintain accurate records.
Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and obtain necessary permits and licenses.
Lead project staff (including contracting and acting as project manager and day to day contact for them) which will consist of freelancers, contractors, and volunteers.
Track progress, address issues, and produce reports and evaluations for internal and external stakeholders, including NAE’s Senior Management Team and local community leaders.

• Work alongside the Head of Events to source new and exciting suppliers for the events.
• Manage multiple projects, including financial reporting and maintaining key relationships to meet deadlines.
• Work closely with the Events team to ensure the successful execution of events and effectively engage with volunteers.
• Provide support to the manager in team training and team development.
• Providing a first point of contact during live events.
• Overseeing staff welfare within the team.
• Responding to all enquiries in a timely, confident & professional manner, taking every opportunity to connect and identify fundraising event opportunities.
• Ad hoc duties as and when required (some out-of-hours work may be expected).
Essential: Ideal Candidate will:
• Be educated to degree level or higher.
• Possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Be self-reliant with strong writing abilities.
• Be honest and willing to travel to meet with volunteers and work flexible hours.
• Be proficient in IT, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Be adequately experienced in planning, advertising and executing successful events.
• Possess suitable administrative experience within a professional environment (internal communication, reporting, documenting; demonstrate exceptional writing, editing, and speaking skills).
• Be well versed in different fundraising requirements and strategies.
• Suitably experienced in strategic marketing and advertising.
• Possess a flexible approach to tasks and responsibilities.
• Possess a high level of motivation social skills
Desirable:
• Prior experience in event operations management, preferably in a fundraising or Islamic charity capacity.
• Experience with task management software.
• A basic understanding of Islamic values and Muslim practices.
• An awareness of Health and Safety values.
• Full licence and access to a car to drive to meet with community leaders, partners potential event venues and collaborators.
