About the role
This is a new role and sits in the Fundraising and Digital Directorate. The Fundraising and Digital function is responsible for all the charity’s fundraising, brand, website, social media, emails and lead generation campaigns. This role sits within the Public Fundraising Team, which secures donations from individuals signed up to our newsletters and individuals giving up to £5,000 per year, legators and regular givers.
We are looking for somebody who enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and wants to develop their fundraising, and specifically digital fundraising skills to have a major impact on the lives of refugees in the UK.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Project Management
- Working with the wider public fundraising team, support the development of plans and activity to manage a portfolio of acquisition, retention and stewardship campaigns including, but not limited to, gathering content, setting up landing pages, creating graphics and assets for digital content, designing ad content, as well as delivering email and social media communications and digital versions of our supporter newsletter.
- Provide digital support for each fundraising project from start to finish. Lead on creating segmented and tailored email journeys – source content and create briefs, liaise with suppliers, create and oversee data selections, exports and imports and manage sign off process.
- Manage our email welcome journey for e-news sign ups, and support on the development of other supporter journeys for a range of audiences across the team.
- Ensure continued communications and strong working relationships with the Direct Marketing Manager and Digital and Comms teams.
- Play an active role in coordinating digital communication plans across the organisation, working alongside the Direct Marketing Manager and Comms colleagues to suggest themes and content as well as creating/scheduling content as and when required.
Email Marketing
- Day-to-day management of the email marketing programme, including drafting, building and managing campaigns and automations, and managing audiences.
- Work with colleagues and draw on existing data to develop insights and understanding about our supporters. Use this information to develop content which is engaging, informative, and meets supporters’ needs.
- Provide support to the Public Fundraising team for all email content, and ensuring all content aligns with wider organisational goals and principles.
- Champion email marketing best practices across the organisation, providing advice and feedback to improve email engagement and effectiveness.

The Role
As Area Manager, you'll lead your dispersed team through in-person support visits, 1:1s, phone chats, team and individual communications, and virtual and in-person meetings.
During support visits, you'll ensure Fundraisers uphold the standards, code of conduct, values and brand through their communication and display. You'll do at least one monthly recruiting shift with each team member, providing valuable feedback to Fundraisers and follow up individual action plans for all team members. Ultimately, you'll lead a culture of high standards, positive actions, and achievement of targets.
You will build effective, collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders and be responsible for recruiting and delivering best practice training to new Membership Fundraisers. What you will do

- Strong creative flair with a strong understanding of best-practice design principles.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and cope flexibly with a range of jobs to meet (and exceed) client expectations.

About The Role

This is a new role in the organisation that will work in the Policy and Campaigns Team but create impact across all of our work. The roleis responsible for supporting and developing our social media and our awareness raising activity in communities across the UK. The Centre for Computing History is an accredited museum and charity situated in Cambridge, with collections and learning at its heart. The museum's core purpose is to increase understanding of the history of computing by exploring its social, cultural and historical impact.
Our collection rightly celebrates the incredible evolution of computing technology. However, the museum also has a responsibility to recognise the ecological impact of the rise of technology, and to date we have not explored these stories. We are excited to have secured funding from the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund, run by the Museums Association, for an exciting new two-year project, Broken Tech : Broken Earth. Role Summary
We're now seeking a talented, energetic and efficient Project Coordinator to oversee this exploratory project.
The Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund, run by the Museums Association, aims to encourage participatory practice in museums, and this concept lies at the heart of this project. Participatory practice means involving visitors and communities in the creation and interpretation of museum exhibitions, programs, and events content – asking for stories about objects in the collection, rather than assuming we know what the most important stories are. This approach is inclusive, encourages visitors to feel ownership and helps museums discover untold stories about their collections.
We are looking for someone special to co-ordinate this process and exploit our unique platform to raise awareness of environmental issues and e-waste and to create change. The Project Co-ordinator will take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the Broken Earth Project, including working closely with all external and internal stakeholders, monitoring progress, and ensuring project milestones are met. This new fixed-term role is a critical part of the project and crucial to its success.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team to work in Cornwall to promote and enable - walking, wheeling, cycling, and public transport as the sustainable way of travelling to schools, workplaces, and for journeys in the local community.
As the Project Officer, you will be innovating, developing, and delivering tailor-made packages of activities and promotional material to encourage and enable active travel.
You will work in close partnership with Cornwall Council, public transport providers, Sustrans’ Behaviour Change & Engagement team and colleagues to support the development and delivery of a countywide Workplace Travel Challenge. This will help ensure that as many people as possible can benefit from the project and that more local journeys can be travelled actively.
Due to the nature of the role, a full DBS is required.
We offer true hybrid working, with a mix of working from the Authority office 1-2 days a week and the opportunity for home working.
This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake the project on behalf of Sustrans. You will be occasionally travelling across the Cornwall region.
About you
You will be passionate about active travel and supporting and motivating others to make positive changes to everyday journeys, to benefit themselves, their local community, and the environment. You will be self-motivated and able to work independently to manage a varied workload.
You should have experience in building relationships with wide range of organisations, groups and individuals ideally having worked on physical activity, behavioural change projects, a wide range of people including young people.
You will be a skilled communicator, able to adapt your approach to engage and meet the needs of diverse audiences and have experience of planning and delivering engagement activities and promotional events.
