We have a new opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join the finance team at St Mungo’s. In the role of Contracts Manager you will:

• Develop and implement long-term strategic project plans, policies and procedures.
• Deliver savings through a robust risk and issue management process and ensure best practice contract management processes across St Mungo’s.
• Build strong relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, providing contract management expertise to the Leadership team and managing high value external contracts, ensuring suppliers conform to contractual terms.

In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations. 

About you

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and influencing skills, a relevant CIPS qualification, or proven equivalent work experience and experience of dealing with a variety of categories of expenditure, such as professional services, IT systems, energy, and insurance.

You will have working knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and public contract regulations and demonstrate your experience of development, monitoring, and management of contracts with significant financial value at a senior level.

Duties and responsibilities 

Service Development 

Consultation and Outreach 

1. Consult with current and potential group participants and draw on existing service data analysis to inform the content, locations, timings and other details of a groups programme for people affected by self-harm, following on from previous pilot groups run in 2023 and 2024 
2. Analyse consultation and service data and in collaboration with team members decide on groups programme themes 

Community Connections and Groups Development 

1. Connect with and become a member of a range of relevant community networks in the local area to both share service information and learning, and learn about range of wider community support available 
2. Connect with and build a database of potential facilitators and venues
3. Develop a rolling groups calendar with a core ongoing peer support group and time-limited specialist groups 
4. Build on existing processes and further develop processes and procedures to ensure robust record keeping, partnership agreements and safeguarding processes are in place that are GDPR compliant 
5. In collaboration with other Self Injury Support services, explore areas of overlap, potential for shared learning and joint working 
6. In collaboration with other Self Injury Support services, develop processes and procedures to support inclusivity and accessibility, including the administration of an accessibility fund for participants 

Service Delivery 

Groups Promotion and Delivery 

1. Handle groups logistics such as booking specialist facilitators, venues, refreshments and materials in line with budget
2. In collaboration with the Communications Officer develop print and digital promotional materials and develop a dissemination plan 
3. In collaboration with other Self Injury Support services, conduct outreach work to promote the groups programme to other relevant community groups and organisations 
4. Respond to group programme enquiries and bookings, keep accurate, GDPR compliant records of participants, send information to participants in a timely manner 
5. Administer the accessibility fund with support from the Finance Administrator 
6. Support the delivery of groups in collaboration with other Self Injury Support team members 
7. In collaboration with the Self Injury Support safeguarding team, ensure all safeguarding concerns are addressed promptly and recorded in line with organisational policy 
8. Take part in personal reflective practice and professional development training as needed 

Review and Evaluation 

1. Plan appropriate evaluation and monitoring of the groups programme which encompasses the experiences of participants and facilitators and aligns with wider organisational service monitoring

An amazing opportunity to join this international animal welfare charity as the Trusts Fundraising Manager, you will manage an officer to drive the development and delivery of trust fundraising programme.

The charity have a remote working policy where internal/external meetings take place once or twice a month in London.

The Role
Manage the delivery of the trusts fundraising strategy, including work to identify and research potential new sources of trusts funding, to meet agreed annual targets.
Develop and manage the delivery of an annual work plan and pipeline for the trusts fundraising programme
Research and make approaches, pitches, submissions and applications to charitable trusts and foundations (both in the UK and overseas territories)
Provide the Senior Trusts Fundraising Officer with clear, collaborative and supportive line management.
Research and pursue trusts fundraising work in assigned new target areas, to expand the programmes reach and impact.
Write clear, concise and compelling proposals, and feedback reports for successful applications and submit in a timely manner.

The Candidate
Extensive knowledge of trusts and statutory fundraising principles and practices including in an international development environment/context.
Knowledge of the current trusts and statutory and fundraising market, including potential supporters. Knowledge of developing and delivering compelling pitches and applications to trusts.
Knowledge of the requirements and expectations of working in the charity sector.
Experience of working in a fundraising management role or equivalent, with a track record of developing and maintaining relationships with partners and/or potential supporters that ultimately generate income.
Experience of managing a trusts fundraising programme, and developing a trusts pipeline or equivalent.

This role is offered on a permanent basis paying a salary of £31,396- £37,099 per annum. This is a flexible hybrid role where you can work between home and Aberystwyth University.

Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager, the post holder will deliver integrated plans to increase the number of major donors giving to the university and embed a programme of proactive legacy giving activity and stewardship, to increase the number of gifts received in wills. They will manage a mid-level portfolio of individuals (including legacy prospects), maintaining relationships, producing prospect management plans for each individual and developing clear strategies to cultivate relationships and secure philanthropic support. The post holder will develop and present compelling and creative proposals through face-to-face meetings within the UK and internationally, presentations and fundraising events and written publications.

They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of delivering major donor activity targeted at those capable of giving £25,000+. They are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience of systematically approaching, cultivating, soliciting, and securing five figure gifts from major donor prospects. The ideal candidate will have experience of fundraising in a Higher Education context and demonstrate an on-going commitment to learn Welsh to C1 level.

This position will require both English and Welsh written and spoken communication (B2 Level).

This role is based at our centre a short walk from Clapham Common tube station, in London. We support homeless people from the local area and further afield. Our services are open access, so the people who come to the Ace of Clubs are diverse and from multiple walks of life. Consequently their needs can be complex, so we are looking for a skilled communicator who can support people, many of who live chaotic lifestyles. Our purpose at the Ace of Clubs is to address people’s basic human needs by providing food, clothing, toiletries, and practical support. We help people link up with housing, healthcare, education, and employment. Our Support Workers work to help individuals overcome barriers to achieving wellbeing, whether it be through guidance in the support system, learning new skills or supporting service users to build the confidence and skills to enable them to navigate their life challenges and advocate for themselves. The ultimate aim of our work is to reduce people’s dependence on our service, helping them move toward independence.

KEY DUTIES

• To participate in the provision of advice and advocacy for service users addressing their needs in the following areas; Housing; Welfare; Health; Education; Employment, (this list is not exhaustive);
• Refer to and liaise with partners and agencies within the statutory and voluntary sector to secure positive outcomes for Centre Users, e.g. referring and signposting guests to accommodation providers, health services and other relevant internal and external support services, as necessary.
• Work in a manner which honours our organisational values and is responsive to the trauma and experiences of homelessness and vulnerable adults.
• Maintain essential records accurately on Charity Log, (ensuring high quality case recordings).
• Ensuring the Centre Manager is kept informed of all safeguarding and risk concerns.
• Employing creative thinking and practices to ensure that guests are supported and motivated to achieve their goals.
