Salary: £39,327 rising to £42,426 per annum with biennial increments
Location: Remote working with travel to Together Trust locations in Greater Manchester and surrounding area and attending some meetings throughout England where necessary.
Leading on Policy and Campaign development of the charity’s policy, your role will be to put forward evidence-based policy recommendations and campaigns and working with the people we support to influence change ensuring that the voice of the people we support is heard and acted on by key decision makers.
Acting as the spokesperson for the Together Trust and the people it supports on policy issues you will be responsible for the following:
- Managing and developing the Together Trust’s policy and campaigns strategy in line with the Trust’s strategic long-term plan.
- Leading on the development of policy priorities with staff and the people we support. Working with them to develop a Theory of Change for the Together Trust. Working directly with the Trust Directors, Trustees and external agencies.
- Representing the Together Trust at meetings with MPs, Councillors, parliamentary groups, select committees to help drive forward Together Trust’s policy and campaigns work.
- Improving the Together Trust’s visibility in UK Parliament by attending sessions, submitting evidence and nurturing networks.
- Reporting on policy, campaigns and participation activities to the Supporting People sub-group, providing updates on activity and progress against key milestones.
- This role has line management responsibilities.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- An undergraduate degree qualification (Level 6 or equivalent), preferably in a relevant discipline with a good understanding of the UK political environment, local and national government structures and decision-making.
- Line management experience supporting team members to achieve their KPIs.
- Experience of using different campaign tactics including recruitment actions and support journeys.
- Experience of speaking at events or representing an organisation in a professional setting.

Field Studies Council Castle Head is located in south Cumbria between the coast of Morecambe Bay and the Lake District National Park. The centre is set in 30 acres of grounds with a diversity of habitats including woodland, grassland and freshwater.
With over 150 beds, 5 workrooms, a meeting room to seat up to 120 and a sports hall we cater for most group needs and deliver a wide range of programmes in field studies and adventurous activities.

Childhood Cancer International (CCI) is a global association made up of parent, survivor and civil organisations dedicated to improving the lives of children and adolescents with cancer, along with their families. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced International Fundraiser to join our team. This position will play a crucial role in securing international grants and funding to support our programmes and initiatives around the world. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, particularly in successfully obtaining international grants and securing funding from diverse sources.
Base: International Scope, Home-based (with preference to individual based in upper-middle or high income country), with occasional travel.
Responsibilities:
1. Research and Identify Funding Opportunities

Conduct thorough research to identify international grant opportunities, funding agencies/foundations/institutions and other potential donors.

Utilize networks, platforms and other avenues to enhance the CCI brand and increase our network and relationships towards attracting potential donors.

Assist the ED in developing an effective fundraising strategy aligned with CCI's strategic plan.

If and when required, attend conferences, workshops, and fundraising events to build connections, to identify and develop funding opportunities.

With ED, maintain regular communication with existing donors, keeping them informed about CCI's progress and impact.
4. Grant Management and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with grant agreements, including tracking deliverables, reporting deadlines, and financial requirements.

5. Marketing
- With the ED, evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communication techniques and assist in make necessary adjustments.

Reach a greater number of supporters and donors through innovative marketing strategies; including, with the ED, the creation of new and innovative fundraising campaigns, or the linking of current events and campaigns to fundraising outcomes.

- Stay up to date with current trends, strategies, and best practices in international fundraising and grant writing.

Qualifications:

A tertiary qualification, degree (or higher qualification) in a relevant field (for example in international development, marketing or communications).

A minimum of proven four years’ experience in international fundraising, grant writing, and securing funding from diverse sources.

Familiarity with international grant databases, donor directories, and funding portals. You should have an existing network of funders and donors.

Research and analytical skills.

Strong writing skills with the ability to craft persuasive and compelling grant proposals.

Experience in developing budgets for grant applications.

The Boathouse Youth currently works with children and young people aged 5 to 17, from socio-economically deprived communities across Blackpool, to help tackle the challenges they’re experiencing and is excited to be launching a new Youth Centre in Fleetwood.
We have four programme areas each facilitating a variety of physical, creative and educational activities including centre based youth work, offsite visits and residential experiences.
We also have a specialist programme for children with additional needs and disabilities. Our entire offer is fully funded and therefore free at the point of access.
Our team of highly skilled professionals interact with young people on a daily-basis to deliver well thought out programmes in an engaging way.
We aim to facilitate a safe space to improve mental well-being, promote positive behaviours, support educational growth and encourage a healthy lifestyle.
The ideal candidate will have experience and strong skills in developing and overseeing community based organisations. The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Youth Centre ensuring it is fit for purpose, used to its full capacity and delivers a high-standard of youth work programmes which align with the charity’s delivery model.
The successful candidate will manage a team of staff and ensure their workforce is developed effectively. They will be a member of the charity’s management team and will need to work collaboratively with colleagues towards our strategic goals and prepare and present updates regularly to relevant management channels, ensuring that our strategic goals are being achieved.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Head of CYP Services oversee the day-to-day running of the Youth Centre and The BHY in Fleetwood.
- Provide effective Line Management supervision to the Fleetwood workforce.
- Act as an ambassador for The Boathouse Youth throughout partnerships and networking.
- Comply and implement all policies and procedures particularly in areas of statutory compliance such as Health & Safety and Safeguarding.
- Develop an understanding of The BHY’s delivery model and implement relevant elements (as agreed with Head of CYP Services).
- Lead, develop and oversee the planning and implementation of a relevant, participative and engaging youth work programme that is needs led and person centred.
- Ensure that an innovative, creative and fun programme is delivered to address to personal, social, physical and political development of young people as described in the charity’s strategy.
- Ensure regular review and evaluation of the programme to capture the outcomes and positive impact.
- Agree KPI’s with the Head of CYP Services and lead on increasing engagement of young people.
- Be alert to issues of safeguarding and child protection and report to the DSL where appropriate to ensure the welfare of all children and young people.
- Seek to be a consistence positive presence within the community.
- Demonstrate clear and hands-on leadership to ensure high standards of youth work, session delivery and behaviour management.
- Create and participate in residential opportunities for young people.
- Meet ‘Gifts-in-Kind’ KPI’s as set by the Strategic Leadership Team.
- Enable young people to deliver community fundraising opportunities to increase budgets.
- Seek local sponsorship opportunities.
- Work with the Strategic Leadership Team to support any major funding opportunities.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of three-years experiencing delivering face-to-face youth and/or community work and a similar length of relevant management experience.
- A successful record of developing community organisations and supporting the implementation of strategic plans.
- Experience of working within the voluntary sector.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES
- A minimum education standard at degree level, ideally in a relevant area but not essential. A JNC professional youth work qualification would be highly desirable.
- A flexible approach to work with ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. This role will require evening and weekend work.
