Survivors’ Network was established in 1990 by a group of survivors of childhood sexual abuse to provide services that would support other survivors. We were the first organisation in Brighton and Hove specifically focused on supporting adult survivors of sexual abuse in childhood, over time expanding to support to all survivors of sexual violence, regardless of age, gender or background, across the whole county of Sussex.
At Survivors’ Network, we view people accessing our services as survivors, rather than victims. This does not ignore an individual’s experience of victimhood, but rather defines the basis upon which we begin all interactions with service users.
Encompassing our values of bravery, compassion, collaboration and empowerment, we are looking for a creative, values-led woman to join us as Head of Finance.
Sitting within the senior management team, the role of Head of Finance is to provide a robust and focused finance function for the organisation, as well as line managing the Finance Officer. The postholder will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the financial position of the organisation, providing strategic financial advice to the Senior Management Team and managing the day-to-day finance operations. This includes complying with all statutory and regulatory requirements alongside supporting service managers across the team to manage income and expenditure across their programs of work.
You will be a qualified accountant with solid experience of working at a senior level. You will be adept at managing all aspects of finance, including financial reporting and providing management reporting tools. Your skills in analysing and interpreting financial data will be crucial in forecasting and leading on budgets. Additionally, you will have a proven track record in developing strategic business plans.
We are seeking someone passionate about making a difference to survivors, who stands by our vision, mission and values and is keen to learn more about feminist leadership and embedding intersectional feminist principles. We love them and hope you do too.
We are committed to flexible working, however, we do need our Head of Finance to attend a quarterly board meeting for about half an hour on a Thursday evening.

THE ROLE
A key member of the team responsible for delivering and developing our new visitor offer at Hainault Forest, predominantly through the running of our Woodland Trust Visitor Centre. The role is responsible for helping to staff the visitor centre on a rota basis; providing an important meet & greet function to visitors as well as signposting, providing information about the site, recruiting members and undertaking retail transactions.
The Marketing and Communications Officer will lead on the marketing and communications aspects of the Hainault Forest visitor experience, ensuring that visitors have a high quality experience while here, and also raising the profile of the forest in the local community and beyond. This role will contribute to engaging people with the forest in a way that inspires them to take action and connect with our cause. Alongside partner colleagues at Vision Redbridge, they will develop and deliver an annual communications and marketing plan that fit our themes and propositions, creating opportunities for membership recruitment, fundraising and retail sales.
Our work at Hainault Forest is delivered in partnership with London Borough of Redbridge and Vision RCL.
This is a part time role (2.5 days per week) and a fixed term contract until May 2025.
THE CANDIDATE
You’ll have experience and knowledge of marketing and communications channels, ensuring they are utilised to engage effectively with different audiences. You’ll have a passion for helping others to see the value of the environment around them, and be a creative thinker who can work well collaboratively as part of a small, dedicated team.
You’ll need to be comfortable talking to all kinds of people to take on this role, be able to deliver excellent customer care and delivering high quality face to face engagement activities. About this key role
As a valued and integral part of the Fundraising and Communications team, our successful candidate will lead a small sub-team to generate at least £500,000 income each year, including the direct line management of a Senior Fundraising Officer, who you will support to line manage the Fundraising Assistant. We will count on you to implement effective processes and procedures across the fundraising and collaborating teams, manage and refine processes for recordkeeping and devise, maintain and update our Fundraising Handbook.

The HR Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR department, facilitating the efficiency of operations of all HR functions. QAC is a charity that runs a college, supported living (known as Independence Plus) and community services for young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.
The College has been at its current location since 1903. Our original purpose was to provide education for young people who were blind or visually impaired. Many sectors will coalesce around the demand for investment in public services, and TJ-UK will be at the forefront of this debate.
Your role will help to win progressive tax reforms, build political support and anchor our campaigning with sound policy analysis. You don’t need a background in tax policy if you can demonstrate an ability to learn and master complex policy briefs.
