The role of HR/Payroll Officer is a vital one and will enable SWT to deliver a consistent employee experience for all staff.  You will be supporting the Head of People & Operations with general human resources duties including recruitment and on-boarding of staff, updating policies, supporting staff engagement and processing payroll.

As CFG's Policy Officer you will make an impactful contribution to CFG's policy and advocacy work. Working with a wide range of stakeholders, including policy-makers, charity members and corporate partners, you will contribute to the smooth running of the Policy Team's work and effectiveness. You will be comfortable using your research and analytical skills to ensure CFG remains at the forefront of its advocacy work on behalf of its members and the wider sector. You will have a passion for getting to grips with complex policy issues and bringing people together to engage with them. As a member of the Policy and Communications Directorate, you'll work alongside the Communications Team and other colleagues to ensure our policy work is shared with a range of external audiences. We’re looking for a Community Engagement Officer to join a talented team to inspire and empower communities to support their historic places of worship. This is a fundamental role within our West regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer.

Churches Conservation Trust works with communities to look after 357 historic churches, over two million visitors annually and hundreds of events both private and public. These ancient, listed sites are among the most beautiful locations in England.

You’ll be visiting sites in your patch regularly, encouraging new supporters, holding local meetings, and raising funds to meet each building’s unique needs. Sharing progress through a growing church plan for each of the 22 churches in your area, you’ll ensure these buildings thrive as beautifully maintained visitor attractions, as venues for events and as central parts of village, town or city life.

Supporter Engagement is one of the most important teams that is central to the success of Alzheimer’s Society. The function of the team is to manage multi-channel communications with our supporters, both inbound and outbound. The role of Programme Lead (Training and Reconciliation) is a key new position in supporting Place for Hope’s strategic goal of growing our partnerships with faith communities to support and equip more people to reach their potential as peacemakers. 

The Programme Lead will co-ordinate all work related to our new 5-year partnership with the United Reformed Church (URC). The partnership will involve two key areas (i) the development and staged roll-out of a mediation team within the URC who will work ecumenically with the wider Place for Hope Practitioner team; and (ii) embedding the understanding, skills, and confidence in how to deal well with conflict, change and difference through a set programme of trainings. 

The Programme Lead will draw on the entire Place for Hope team (staff and volunteers) to develop and deliver an agreed 5-year programme plan. The role will also involve supporting the wider work of Place for Hope, particularly working with our training team to deliver our training programme (online and in-person) with a wide range of partners.

Previous experience of project management, training, as well as excellent organisational and communication skills are essential to the role. The ideal candidate would also have an interest in supporting faith communities to transform conflict and a willingness to undertake CPD provided by Place for Hope to build their knowledge and skills in this area. Our Practitioner Led Assessment Service is the entry point for our beneficiaries seeking support from the Charity. Our Assessment Practitioners work in partnership with our beneficiaries to identify goals, individual needs and appropriate solutions.

The team provide advice, information and support and work collaboratively with the multi-professional team to ensure our beneficiaries are offered the right support at the right time.

Reporting into the Beneficiary Experience and Continuity Lead you will be responsible for day-to-day management of the practitioner led assessment service, holding a small case load and reviewing and resolving complex cases with the team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Programme Management

• Coordinate staff and implementing partners to ensure the timely completion of deliverables.

• Ensure compliance with donor/country agreements, regulations and requirements.
• Identify, track and manage programmatic risk.
• Ensure effective communication with partners, donors and other stakeholders.
• Oversee project budgets, including monitoring spend against budget, undertaking re-forecasting, and authorising spend.
• Oversee the quarterly reporting process to donors.
• Coordinate and support workstream leads within the project.

Programme quality and design

• Contribute to the design of new projects: co-ordinating the proposal team; overseeing a needs analysis; liaising with stakeholders; contributing to a Theory of Change; developing content; and developing the budget.
• Develop and nurture relationships with potential and existing donors, partner organisations and consultants as appropriate.
• Contribute to the design and improvement of project and health partnership quality programme approaches, including standards, processes, tools and guidance.
• Contribute to the delivery of capacity development interventions for grant holders and THET staff.

Monitoring and Evaluation

• With support from the Research, Evidence and Learning team, oversee Monitoring and Evaluation processes for the programmes you lead, e.g. logframe and reporting mechanisms
• Lead the quarterly and annual reporting and analysis review process with institutional donors.
• Write project reports and programme reviews, and coordination of donor reporting as appropriate.
• Ensure grant holders have effective M&E plans in place and coordinate the review of their reports.
• Coordinate visits to project implementation sites for monitoring and audit purposes.
• Facilitate learning and sharing of good practices across programmes and the wider organisation.

Team Support and Line Management

• Line manage members of the Programmes Team (1-2 Programmes Coordinators).
• Oversee the contracting, payments and deliverables of in-country consultants and other suppliers.
• Lead the induction process for new Programmes Team members and other THET staff when required.
• Work with colleagues from across the team to identify areas for improvement and strengthening.

Miscellaneous

• Attend and present THET’s work at UK and international events, including the THET annual conference.
• Join your choice of THET’s and external thematic working groups, such as on gender equality and social inclusion, on the climate crisis, etc.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of THET and play a leadership role in the Programmes Team

About the role

This new role within the newly formed Brand and Marketing Communications team will play a key role in our in-house creative studio, creating engaging and inspiring content.
