The Public Affairs Assistant will work with the Public Affairs Manager, Director of Policy and Evidence and the Policy and Campaigns Team to help influence decision makers and build stronger relationships with stakeholders, and ensure there is better understanding of the impact that challenges with talking and understanding words can have on a child and young person’s life.

The post-holder will:

· Provide the administrative support to the Speech, Language and Communication Alliance playing a key role in support the charity to foster stronger relationships with key partners

· Support the Public Affairs Manager in dissemination of briefings and correspondence with parliamentarians and civil servants, including setting up meetings

· Attend meetings as required, both in person and online to facilitate record keeping and liaison

· Maintain the Microsoft Team and SharePoint sites so that documents and notes are securely stored and accessible and version control is maintained.

Rape Crisis England & Wales works in partnership with three of our member centres to deliver the 24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line. We lead on the digital infrastructure of the service, including the management of a Cloud Contact Centre and various internal systems used by Support Line operators and managers. We're excited to partner with one of London's leading universities to seek a temporary Study Abroad and Partnership Officer. In this full-time role (35 hours per week), you'll provide crucial administrative support during a busy period. Initially, the position will run for 2 months with potential for extension.

In this post you will have the opportunity of hybrid working, with a minimum of three days onsite and the rest remote, some flexibility might be required with this, dependant on the requirements at the time. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students during their Study Period Abroad (SPA) and serving as their primary contact while they're abroad.

• Coordinating visits from partner institutions and assisting with collaborative provision opportunities.

To be considered, you should have experience in a similar fast-paced administrative role, preferably in a student-facing capacity. Familiarity with the SITS system and previous experience in study abroad or partnership work would be advantageous, although similar systems and transferable experience will be considered.

Prospectus is thrilled to collaborate with our esteemed client, a leading global university, in their pursuit of a temporary Residence Hall Assistant. This role is dedicated to nurturing an environment conducive to the academic and personal development of residents. This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) looking to run until August 1st, situated onsite at least 4 days a week in Central London. Working hours are from 2pm to 10pm, Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday/Saturday. There will be an opportunity to work from home one day per week, on either a Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday if that was a preference, use of own equipment would be required, although you can also work from the office on all days.

The responsibilities primarily revolve around activities across the university's London campus, encompassing weekly meetings, check-ins/checkouts. The post holder will share rotational on-call duties during working hours, promptly addressing urgent issues with the support of senior team members. Core tasks include managing check-ins, room preparations, assisting students with roommate issues and room changes, addressing student complaints, updating access systems, managing room keys and guest passes, overseeing stock levels, and handling inquiries both in-person and via email.

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess exceptional organisational and administrative skills, along with a track record of delivering top-notch customer service. A comprehensive understanding of London, coupled with adept problem-solving abilities and experience in managing challenging customer conversations, is essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate empathy towards the challenges faced by young adults in university settings, especially those from abroad, and exhibit a passion for providing accurate information and caring support during vulnerable moments. Role Purpose

The Community Engagement Manager (Maternity Cover) role will be a critical piece of our Community Programmes team, which provides support to founders at every stage of their startup journey. The Community Programme offering includes a roster of events including panels, masterclasses and workshops, as well as mentoring and coaching opportunities, and peer-to-peer engagement opportunities. We work with an exciting range of partners across the private and third sectors to connect underrepresented founders to networks and capital that will help launch and grow their mission-driven businesses.

As the Community Engagement Manager, you’ll work directly with the Co-Head of Programmes to ensure the systems we need are in place to support the team to deliver their support offering and that we are constantly learning and evolving our programme offering from Founder feedback and engagement.

Responsibilities

Graduate Community Engagement

• Maintain the community engagement strategy for enhanced engagement between founders and a more cohesive founder journey across all stages
•  Maintain the end-to-end design and management of the founder experience in the graduate community platform (Circle)
• Helping founders to widen their networks and facilitate connections that can provide critical support and direction via our graduate community platform
• Work collaboratively across the Programmes team to ensure entrepreneurs who engage with Hatch are connected to the best programmes, resources and offers for them

The Opportunity

This role sits within our Evaluation unit in our Impact Partnerships team, who work with education organisations such as charities, universities and education technology companies (our ‘impact partners’). Our work focuses on helping these organisations to design and deliver evaluations, and to build their capacity for impact evaluation.

We are looking for a candidate who can support the team internally with a variety of delivery and administrative processes, working directly with our schools and partners to support their evaluation journey. This will include supporting new schools through their onboarding and data collection processes and monitoring their usage of our digital platform, the School Impact Platform.  You will also be responsible for liaising with schools to schedule focus groups with teachers and pupils and organise these events accordingly, and supporting colleagues with facilitating data collection and analysis, which will include reporting processes and creating surveys which form part of our evaluation work with schools.

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to apply for our new professional development pathway, launching this summer. On this two-year scheme, a small cohort will rotate between our practices, gaining wider experience within strategy, evaluation and operational development within the education and social enterprise space.

About You

The Ian Karten Charitable Trust is looking for a home-based, self-employed administrator to cover the current incumbent who is going on maternity leave in July 2024.  The Trust is a grant making trust focused on disability and education.

The role is very flexible; hours required are generally between 8 and 16 per month. The MARAC Administrator will support the MARAC Coordinator in the administering the MARAC process.  The post holder will be co-located in Brent and will be required to attend MARAC meetings in various locations as required. There will also be a requirement to attend Advance’s Headoffice

The MARAC Administrator will process MARAC referrals and flag to the MARAC Coordinator any referrals that have insufficient information or may not meet the MARAC threshold.  The post holder will also compile the MARAC At Risk List for approval by the MARAC Coordinator, including case details of survivors and perpetrators who will be discussed at the MARAC.

To be successful as the MARAC Administrator you will need the below experience and skills:

An understanding of violence against women and girls with a particular focus on the dynamics of domestic violence (physical, emotional and sexual violence, so-called ‘honour-based violence’, forced marriage, stalking and harassment) and its impact on women, children, families and communities.

Experience of office management and administration roles and experience of maintaining data systems and producing regular monitoring reports

Accurate and methodical approach to dealing with data processing, filing systems, facts and figures

Excellent literary and administrative skills including ability in information technology, data collection and in-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

Good interpersonal and communication skills

The ability to be flexible, working as a team or independently as required to support the service and colleagues

Our client, a professional membership organisation, is seeking a Product Development Administrator (Fluent Mandarin). The organisation manages an extensive array of training courses offered by over 100 training providers across the globe and are hoping to expand this by offering to include exams in Mandarin. To support this, you'll be responsible for facilitating the translation of all exam questions and learner resources into Mandarin. We're looking for a candidate who is proficient in both English and Mandarin languages, self-motivated and eager to learn.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

• Utilise online translation tools to translate multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, and sequencing questions into Mandarin.
• Revise Mandarin questions based on feedback from subject matter experts, ensuring accuracy in grammar and spelling.
• Conduct testing on the online exam system's user interface to ensure instructions and error messages have been translated correctly.
• Contribute to the creation of instructional videos and guides in Mandarin to aid learners.

The successful candidate:

The successful candidate will be fluent in English and Mandarin, have excellent written skills, grammar, spelling and punctuation and possess strong attention to detail. The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) is seeking a Professional Standards Specialist to join our Qualifications team on a temporary basis covering maternity leave (9-12 months).

This is a key role responsible for the project management of professional practice in relation to our members' continuing professional development (CPD) and Chartered status.
In this position, you will:

• Oversee the promotion of best practices in professional development and training for our members, particularly in supporting the achievement of Chartered designations.
• Manage the RSC's portfolio of accredited company schemes, which will involve substantial UK travel and the ability to influence existing and potential customers. This requires interacting with high level contacts at leading multinational companies.
• Contribute to the development and advancement of our professional registers, working closely with our Registration Officer.
• Play a significant role in delivering our membership and industry strategies through the enhancement of CPD offerings.
• In this role it is expected that you will attend the office once a month. The role will require travel across the UK and potentially internationally. If you need flexible working arrangements, please outline this in your application.

What we are looking for:

• A degree in the chemical sciences

IAG Delivery and line management

· To be accountable for achieving agreed outcomes, outputs and personal targets – including recruitment, employability training and learner progression targets

· To manage a caseload of participants requiring Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG), confidence building and employability training

· Completing appropriate action plans and reviews with participants

· To act as the single point of contact for small caseload of participants
