About the role

Working as a member of our dedicated Youth Team you will engage with targeted communities to provide and promote inclusive opportunities for young people and young adults to develop positive working relationships that will enable them to achieve their potential.

You will provide a valuable resource for Groundwork NE & Cumbria to enable it to achieve the Trust objectives. Dealing with a variety of Youth project delivery tasks in a diverse and busy internal and external environment, ensuring deadlines are met whilst maintaining quality.

• Youth Work Qualification at Level 3 or above
• Proven experience of working with either children and young people or other vulnerable groups.

Head to Toe, the charity of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT), has been awarded a 3-year grant to support patients receiving end of life care. This is a partnership between Head to Toe, CPFT voluntary services,  NHS community nursing teams, and charity end of life volunteering specialists, the Anne Robson Trust.

Working alongside healthcare services, you will co-ordinate a group of compassionate, dedicated volunteers, who will support members of their local community in the last months of life, providing company, comfort and companionship to patients across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

You may have experience in similar projects, or come from a clinical background, but will understand and champion the role of volunteers in enhancing NHS services and patient experiences. You will be passionate about this type of work, and understand the importance of helping people to have a 'good' death.

The successful candidate will need experience within volunteer administration in addition to excellent organisational, communication and networking skills. Bespoke training will be provided by the Anne Robson Trust, as well as ongoing support to help the post-holder recruit and train volunteers.

The Butterfly Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for the development, implementation, and scale of the Community Butterfly Volunteer Service, which can bring huge benefits to patients, staff, volunteers, and our local communities. You will have day to day responsibility for the recruitment, interview, selection, training and management of Butterfly Volunteers.

The post requires a flexible approach with hybrid working, with travel across the region, attending in-person meetings and events. Due to the nature of volunteer recruitment this will include occasional evening and weekend work.

Purpose of Post

Roots to Wellbeing project aims:

• Provide a safe and inclusive space for participants to receive weekly support.
• Help participants to connect with nature and socialise with others to feel happier, less anxious and less isolated.
• Support participants to access other beneficial services, where appropriate, including health, social and financial.
• Support participants to move onto outdoor work or volunteering with friends of groups where appropriate.
• Facilitate a positive journey through the service for participants to ensure as many people as possible can access the service.

The role 

The roles has four main areas of work:

1. Leadership and management:

• Lead the Roots to Wellbeing team to reach its goals. 
• Line manage and support three Mental Health Officers, each delivering Roots to Wellbeing on one site.
• Work with local communities and other team members to explore new opportunities for the project and develop solutions.
• Work with CEO and Head of Fundraising to secure funding for project development.

2. Project management: 

• Oversee the delivery and development of the project to meet key KPIs.
• Collate qualitative and quantitative data and produce impact reports for funders. 
• Support team to ensure administrative records are kept up to date, including but not limited to: maintaining accurate participant records, work programme, incident reporting, risk management, external outreach, website.
• Develop a thorough communications strategy and build on current local referral relationships to further embed the programme within the VCSE & Health sector.
• Ensure service standard and quality is consistent across sites and policies and procedures are followed. 
• Recruit and induct volunteers to support session delivery.
• Work in partnership with stakeholders within and across the organisation to deliver project goals.
• Attend networking meetings and community events to raise awareness of the project and demonstrate its impact. 

3. Session delivery at Hartcliffe Millennium Green: 

• Continually build and maintain relationships with local referral partners to achieve a consistent referral rate into the project. 
• Deliver weekly Roots to Wellbeing sessions by; planning and facilitating delivery of sessions and activities in line with 5 pathways to nature connectedness and that are accessible to all participants, organising logistics of sessions such as travel, food and equipment, acting as safeguarding lead during sessions, liaising with co-facilitator, leading peer-support style check in at the beginning of the sessions and the grounding and meditation at the end.
• Lead on all direct communication with participants at Hartcliffe Millennium Green. Support them to create personalised development plans, signposting and referrals where needed. 

4. Other: 

• Support the work of the wider charity and specifically the South Bristol team as required. 
• Representing the charity externally through media work and presentation where necessary.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow and develop a Dementia Service that was launched at Age UK Westminster in 2022. Offering a weekly community-based Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy group that provides a vital contribution to living well with dementia and a monthly Memory Cafe, we are looking for someone with the knowledge, skills, experience and passion to ensure that more residents can benefit from this Service. 

Summary of role Age UK Westminster launched its Dementia Service in 2022 supporting older people (aged 50+) living in the City of Westminster who are experiencing memory and cognitive impairment and are experiencing confusion and dementia resulting in severe social isolation. The service also supports those who are caring for people with these issues.

In 2024 the ambition is to grow the reach of the successful monthly ‘Heart of Westminster' Cafe delivered in partnership with the Salvation Army’s Regent Hall and a weekly community-based MCST group and provide expertise to the Befriending team to manage some befriending matches. Demonstrating the value of these community-based activities and ensuring they are supported by a trained and supported volunteer team will contribute to securing continuation funding.

The role will involve close liaison with Westminster’s Memory Service and other community organisations that support older people living with memory loss and dementia.

Key responsibilities
● Co-ordinate the successful running of the monthly ‘Heart of Westminster’ Cafe in the Soho ward of the City of Westminster.
● Co-ordinate the successful running of up to two weekly MCST groups at Marylebone Church in Westminster including the co-ordination and triage of referrals for MCST groups
● Ensure the design and provision of activities and information that will enhance the lives of those attending and their carers. There is a significant resource bank of materials and activities
● Facilitate an environment where acceptance of dementia will bring about positive feelings for anyone affected by it
● Promote the service across Westminster to ensure that all those who would benefit are able to attend. This will include working with other professionals and ensuring that publicity materials are available
● Working with colleagues at Age UK Westminster and other professionals to identify and assess individuals who would benefit from being matched with a trained dementia volunteer. Home-visiting may be required.
● Deliver dementia awareness training to staff and volunteers
● Working with Age UK Westminster’s Volunteer Coordinator grow the volunteer resource
● Provide ongoing support and supervision to the team of Dementia volunteers
● Ensure that all records are kept up to date for the service and be responsible for the implementation of monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance procedures

Greater Manchester Youth Federation (“GMYF”) is looking for 3 Youth Workers (2 x Part Time and 1 Full Time) who will work with young people at their Partington Youth and Community Centre and Whitemoss Centre in Charlestown, Manchester. 

About GMYF 

GMYF is a long-established charity that works with young people across Greater Manchester, to support their aspirations and create opportunities. Our mission is to deliver a year-round programme of recreational and educational opportunities to young people, volunteers and leaders within our stand-alone centres and to provide support to affiliated clubs. 

GMYF opened our first Youth Centre in Partington in September 2022 and are in the process of opening a new Youth Centre in Charlestown. These Centres provide support for young people with a wide range of activities and make a real difference to the lives of many young people. We also have various current/former playing field sites in the Greater Manchester area and jointly own an Outward Activities Centre in Cumbria – Ormside Mill. We have 27 affiliated clubs who undertake a variety of different activities for young people. The Roles 

The role of the Youth Worker is to be young person centred and to provide a nurturing, safe and supporting environment for the young people, building and maintaining positive relationships with them. You will be predominantly based at Partington Youth and Community Centre working with 9-16 year olds. You will support the Youth Activities Lead in planning and delivering a full programme of activities including Centre-based activities and outdoor trips, as well as supporting our outdoor adventure team with outdoor activities and residentials.

Key areas of focus for the Youth Worker will be: 

• Support the young people: always take a young person-centred approach to all activities. Maintain the ethos of the organisation by providing a nurturing, safe and supporting environment. Build and maintain positive relationships with the young people, recognising their different needs and starting points. Have strong commitment to the values of acceptance and respect within youth and community work. Be a positive role model for the young people. Encourage the young people to take an active role in social action projects youth voice and young leader activities. 

• Assist the Youth Activities Lead: work together with the team in planning and delivery of full programme of activities, including evening youth club sessions. Assist in the development and introduction of additional activities eg twilight sessions, drop ins, youth voice, targeted group work, mentoring. Identify the formal and informal educational, social, cultural and recreational needs of the young people and plan a programme of positive interventions and innovations which enhances the knowledge, awareness and personal development of the young people. Articulate and record young people’s progression in sessional and project recording documentation and provide information for management and funding reporting. ·  

• Residentials: Attend weekend residentials and events at the GMYF’s outdoor pursuits centre and encourage the young people to get involved. Support and assist with the planning and delivery of off-site trips/activities and residentials at various locations.

• Safeguarding: comply with all policies and procedures, with reference to safeguarding, codes of conduct, health and safety, and equality and diversity. Be alert to issues of safeguarding and child protection, ensuring the welfare and safety of youth club members is promoted and safeguarded. Report any child protection concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead. Participate in Safeguarding training. 

• Represent Greater Manchester Youth Federation: Ensure conduct is professional and represents Greater Manchester Youth Federation in a positive manner both to internal and external visitors, working with a wide range of both local partners and community organisations. 

• Continued Personal Development: Commit to your own training and development, accessing available training including youth work specific courses e.g. National Youth Agency courses. Funding and support is available from GMYF to assist your continued development.

About You  

We are looking for candidates who believe in GMYF’s mission and are experienced in working with young people. You should be able to build positive relationships with young people, always taking a young person centred approach. You will have some experience planning and delivering activities, and bring creative and innovative ideas about activities you could run for the young people. You should have strong teamwork and organisational skills, understanding of safeguarding, and willingness to undertake further training.

Salary & Benefits 

£22,369-27,852 FTE depending on experience. NJC Grade 4-5

About the role

Solent Mind is a partner in the new Primary Level Mental Health Service covering Eastleigh Health Primary Care Network comprising Eastleigh Health Centre, Parkside Family Practice, and St Andrews. This service will enhance the support which GP practices are able to offer their patients with a range of mental health issues through a collaborative and integrative approach.

This service has been developed to enhance the mental health care which the GPs are able to offer their patients through a collaborative and integrative approach across the three practices and associated services.

Role A - 18.5 hours per week & Role B - 26 hours per week (to include a Thursday 9.00am to 5.00pm).

About you

As a Wellbeing Assessor, you will undertake assessments of patients in order to understand their individual needs and identify the most appropriate support for them, working collaboratively with other partners in the Primary Care Mental Health Service and associated organisations.

About the role

Fareham and Gosport Wellbeing service is looking to recruit a PCN Wellbeing Advisor, to be based in PCN surgeries in the Fareham and Gosport Localities.

In this role you will hold a caseload of patients offering assessments & 1-1 sessions to help manage mental health Wellbeing. You will attend meetings to enable patients to get the best service for them and will support people to access groups and activities within our wellbeing centre and the community. You will use your skills and experience to work directly with people with mental health issues one-to-one settings, include telephone, face-to-face and online engagement; this may on occasion include group facilitation.

30 hours per week (to include some evenings and weekends).

About you

You will need to have a good understanding of a mental health issue, as well as experience of working with people with mental health needs, excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the key difficulties and challenges faced by people on their recovery journey. You will need good IT skills and be able to navigate different IT systems.

The post holder will coordinate and provide information-based sexual health outreach services, testing and brief HIV prevention interventions in commercial venues and at events across London. Interventions will predominantly target people who may be at higher risk of HIV and STI acquisition, particularly amongst higher prevalence communities such as Gay, Bisexual and Men who have Sex with Men (GBMSM), Black African and Trans communities.  This role will involve working within sex on premises venues frequented by GBMSM and would therefore be best suited to someone from that community. This position is only open to applicants who identify as male (Equality act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1) as the role will involve working in male only venues. 

Programme

The post holder will be a member of the GMI Partnership team, based at METRO, working closely with their counterparts at other GMI partner agencies (Positive East and Spectra). The partnership is the main provider of the London HIV Prevention Programme, a sexual health and HIV testing outreach programme for GBMSM, across the capital. The post holder will be responsible for liaising directly with other contract partners and being a main point of contact for various outreach venue providers.  The worker will form part of the METRO HIV Domain and will support the overall HIV prevention services provided by the charity.
