This is an exciting opportunity to work for a Queen’s Award winning charity supporting unpaid carers in the London borough of Redbridge. You will give advice and information to carers and work closely with them to develop person centred support plans. You will work within a Community Support Team to deliver peer support groups, wellbeing activities, advice surgeries, outreach and events across the borough.
If you have experience of 1-1 support work and of providing advice and information, particularly around welfare benefits, this could be the perfect role for you. We are looking for someone with an understanding of carers issues and experience of working with people from diverse communities. Men's Minds Matter brings psychological clinical expertise and lived experience to suicide prevention and intervention. In 2021, we launched the MMM model of psychological entrapment and suicidal crises (PESC-M), which now underpins everything we do. This is the first model of its kind, and we believe it has the potential to save many lives.
Our model underpins everything we do from training workshops, research, campaigning, and intervention development across multiple platforms. We are looking for someone as dedicated as we are to oversee our business development and help grow our future financial sustainability.

Background Information
The Weir Link was established to replace what was a derelict laundry and community room with a new purpose-built building which opened on the Weir Estate in June 2010. The charity’s principal aim is to provide educational, training and social opportunities that ‘bring the community together’ from all areas and backgrounds across the streets and estates within the local area.
To date the building has been used as the base for a Children’s Centre, Nursery (currently operated by London Early Years Foundation (Leyf)), a Volunteer Project as well as a range of other Fun Days, coffee mornings, community meetings and social get togethers. In addition to the nursery, which occupies the largest rooms of the building, there are additionally two office spaces and a meeting room available for community use.
We currently run a range of weekly after-school activities, including a homework club, two stay-and-play sessions, an arts and crafts club and a Pilates class. We also facilitate other community activities, including yoga classes, ante-natal classes and local residents’ meetings.
Job Description
Key responsibilities
1. Ensure that all aspects of the management and operation of The Weir Link are carried out effectively and in keeping with the organisation’s mission, vision and values.

As with all small organisations, sometimes we have to go above and beyond what is expected on a daily basis, but in return we can offer greater flexibility than other larger organisations.
This is a part-time, maternity leave role for 12 months in the first instance. We are able to offer a flexible working pattern, which would comprise of 15 hours per week across three days a week. The hours can be between 9.30 and 4pm every day, with the possibility of hybrid working (combining office-based and remote working) during the school holidays.
This role would suit a parent or carer who would like their hours to work around the school day and have flexibility during school holidays.
Ideally the person would also be a local resident who is prepared to build on our links with other community organisations that are local to The Weir Link.

What are we looking for?
Sue Lambert Trust are looking for a resilient and experienced counsellor ready to take on the challenge of a leadership and management role within an organisation passionate about offering a kind, safe and supportive therapeutic service to survivors of sexual abuse and violence. In this role you would be responsible for the professional development of our team of counsellors as well as supporting both trainee and experienced counsellors in their work with us.
Background Information:
Sue Lambert Trust provides kind, safe, supportive help for people who have experienced sexual or domestic abuse at some point in their lives.
We provide free, specialist support that enables people to recover, heal and build resilience to face the future. Our support is organized around a three-phased trauma informed approach.
Phase One Groundwork is designed to support clients with practical issues as well as providing stabilisation in preparation for counselling. Around 200 clients per year access this service.
Phase Two Counselling is the core provision and is delivered by 50+ trained counsellor volunteers working with around 300 clients weekly.
Phase Three aims to build resilience and includes interventions such as self-help groups.
We are funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioners Office, Ministry of Justice, National Lottery and several local and national Trusts and Foundations.

Job Title:Counselling Support and Development Manager
Responsible to: Head of Counselling
Job purpose:
- To ensure that all counsellors and staff are provided with the skills and knowledge to deliver and develop Sue Lambert Trust services.
- To support the Head of Counselling to manage a team of staff and counsellors in delivering effective, safe and quality counselling and other appropriate therapeutic services.

Main responsibilities:
Operational Delivery

Zero Carbon Guildford (ZCG) is looking for an experienced, organised and capable project development coordinator to help build and support our projects and enable our fantastic volunteer community to achieve more in their climate and environmental impact goals.
We are a Surrey-based charity offering practical solutions which help residents and businesses cut waste and emissions, remove confusion and misinformation on how to make a difference, and provide local solutions to a global crisis.
Overview & Purpose
The role of the Project Development Coordinator is to assist existing ZCG projects in achieving maximum impact, and develop new projects where ideas have been put forward or gaps are identified. You will provide project management support, forming teams of self-sufficient volunteers, and provide support in monitoring and evaluation. You will be part of a team comprising paid staff and volunteers. As such, alongside project development your focus will be on supporting and nurturing personal development within the volunteer base whilst driving forward the Charity’s objectives.
An important part of the role is to help effectively communicate these objectives and the associated outcomes of ZCG projects to the public and stakeholders, in line with our engagement strategy. This will include assisting with the coordination of project-focused outreach events, the development of displays, as well as responding to email, social media and telephone enquiries, recognising that every conversation is an opportunity for further collaboration.
Fundraising is key to the stability of the charity. The Project Development role will help to identify and develop fundraising activities which help projects to be somewhat self-sustaining. This will include identifying available funding pots and understanding project teams’ funding needs, as well as raising funds through events and community fundraising.
We are advertising this role alongside an Operations Coordinator, and envisage each of these being ~4 days a week, which will include some evening and weekend hours. However, we are eager to recruit the best possible combination of people to the team, and will consider different working arrangements (either fewer or more hours), and individuals with experiences across the two roles.

Tasks

Support the successful operation of ZCG projects. This includes:

Zero Carbon Guildford (ZCG) needs an enthusiastic, organised and capable person to help run our Charity operations and ensure we are performing against our strategic objectives.
We are a Surrey-based charity offering practical solutions which help residents and businesses cut waste and emissions, remove confusion and misinformation on how to make a difference, and provide local solutions to a global crisis.
Overview and Purpose of the role:
The ZCG Operations Coordinator will focus on two main areas:

Your role will involve translating the Charity’s strategy into implementable actions and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that will help us monitor our performance against our overarching strategy outcomes and benefits. Alongside this role we are advertising for a Project Development Coordinator, and you will work with them to convert the metrics and outcomes from individual projects into a measure of wider Charity impact and success.
A key part of the role will be monitoring the targets outlined in our successful funding bids, and ensuring that all reporting requirements are met. You will be responsible for creating and presenting regular reports on both strategic and funding targets to Operations and Trustee teams.
You will ensure the efficient day to day operation of the charity and our town centre premises, ZERO, ranging from management of stock levels through to implementing and monitoring safe working practices both within the ZERO premises and at external events. You will oversee volunteer supervision within the space; a shared task amongst all ZCG employees.
The role will include oversight of the ZCG events schedule, both via booking and management of events, as well as performance against event targets, whilst implementing the ZCG engagement strategy to ensure that messaging of events is tailored appropriately to the audience. Managing our diverse events schedule requires you to be a spokesperson for the charity, liaising with volunteers, local organisations and the general public so interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude is a must.
We are advertising this role alongside a Project Development Coordinator role, and envisage each of these being ~4 days a week, which will include some evening and weekend hours. However, we are eager to recruit the best possible combination of people to the team, and will consider different working arrangements (either fewer or more hours), and individuals with experiences across the two roles.

About the role
This is an exciting role within the Volunteering Team. You’ll have responsibility for designing and piloting Shelter’s financial resilience volunteer programme in Leeds as well as supporting our nationwide volunteering programme. We’ll rely on you to use best practice volunteer management to design and pilot volunteering journeys from attraction, recruitment and training all the way through to ongoing support and exit. You’ll also be leading on evaluating the pilot and adapting our approaches based on learnings. Key Responsibilities
Partnership liaison and relationship management

Oversight of Spear Programme
