Job Title: HR Administrator
Contract: Fixed Term – 12 Months (Maternity Cover)
Hours: 35 per week (Full Time)
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience)
Location: Coram Campus – Bloomsbury, London (with flexibility to work from home 2-3 days per week)

About the Role
We are seeking a HR Administrator to join our Human Resources team at Coram.
This is an exciting opportunity either for an individual who is looking to develop their HR skills in an experienced and supportive HR team or who has relevant HR experience and is looking for a new challenge.
This multi-faceted HR administration role covers all parts of the employee life-cycle, along with opportunities to get involved in projects such as TUPE, well-being, and recruitment and retention strategies. You will work closely with one or more business partners to support specific entities within the Group and will play an integral role in providing an efficient and effective HR service that adds value to the wider organisation.
We are looking for an individual who:
- has experience of working in a HR environment or administrative experience combined with HR qualifications;
- strives to deliver an excellent service;
- has strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate professionally to staff and build good working relationships at all levels;

Are you a HR Generalist looking for a varied role within a small charity?
My client is looking to recruit a HR Adviser. This is initially a 12 month fixed term contract with the potential for role to be extended. Working 35 hours per week.

Role
To support the Human Resources Manager and to be responsible for the smooth running and administration of Human Resources functions including employee life cycle, payroll entry and day to day queries.
Duties
- Support the Human Resources Manager to promote and implement the People Policies & Procedures.
- Provide operational Human Resources support on straightforward cases and issues including performance management, grievance, disciplinary, restructures and absence,
- Identify and suggest how existing policies and procedures can be improved.
- Ensure that we are meeting all of the appropriate local employment requirements in relation to employment of foreign workers based internationally.
- Manage the recruitment cycle and processes in line with policies and procedures.
- Coordinate recruitment campaigns liaising with recruitment agencies as required.
- Update and maintain the e-recruitment module.
- Support recruiting managers with end to end recruitment process.
- Undertake pre-employment checks including references & right to work.
- Prepare and process offer letters and coordinate start dates with managers.
- Oversee the induction and probation process for all starters in line with policies.
- Coordinating annual appraisals, annual salary review, management of holiday calculations
- Be responsible for the accurate processing of payrolls and pensions ensuring the correct processing of benefits.
- Produce timely relevant reports and updates for key stakeholders and management, including data analysis.
- Provide ad hoc advice and support to managers and staff on Human Resources and Employee Relations matters.
- Support HR to ensure smooth functionality of Human Resources and any related projects.

GFS is a feminist organisation with a mission to empower girls and young women in England and Wales to live their best lives. Girls as young as 6 tell us that they cannot be themselves. This causes problems for them and society. So, we offer an early intervention service for girls living in areas of deprivation to have the greatest impact.
This is an exciting role with an opportunity to lead the charity into the 150th Year of delivery and with a new strategy to address need. It will involve working with the leadership team and all departments but also the board and their support committees, the ambassadors, and presidents as well as the wonderful team of volunteers across England and Wales.
A great deal has been done to prepare the organisation for such an important time and so now there is a real opportunity for this role to lead in being a figurehead for the charity and representing all that is achieved at GFS in national events and discussions, to best represent the girls of today.

Role purpose and main responsibilities
To lead on candidate support and communication for the ‘Placement’ strand of our delivery, working closely with the Senior Talent Manager to manage all entry-level recruitment with our corporate partners. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring Brokerage candidates are upskilled, encouraged to apply for roles, selected and prepared for partner opportunities. They will also develop and maintain efficient systems for programme administration to enhance our operational effectiveness in connecting talent with opportunities.
Main Responsibilities
● Programme Development and Management: Design and improve placement programmes, focusing on candidate support and development. Manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle, from advertising, to shortlisting to onboarding candidates into placements (e.g. internships/entry level roles) including associated administration.
● Candidate Engagement and Development: Lead placement communications and recruitment, identifying, upskilling, and supporting candidates. Develop resources, manage and deliver workshops to enhance candidate skills and engagement.
● Partnership Management: Maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, contributing to the design and development of intern and partner experiences.
● Communication: Craft and distribute materials to promote placements and share success stories.
● Operational Excellence: Refine processes and systems for programme efficiency. Maintain accurate programme and candidate records on Salesforce.
● Data and Impact: Monitor programme effectiveness, focusing on impact-driven management.
● Team Management: Line management of team members (if required). Oversee team performance and dynamics aligned to our values.
● Equality Diversity Inclusion: Embed equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in programme design and delivery as well as team interactions.
● Safeguarding Management: Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
We are looking for someone with:
● Experience working with young people and building relationships with a range of stakeholders.
● A strong understanding of early careers recruitment/application processes.
● A dynamic personality with strong written and verbal communication, combined with empathy and patience, to effectively engage with diverse individuals.
● Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities including administrative aspects.
● The ability to balance firmness with sensitivity when necessary, particularly in managing relationships and safeguarding the wellbeing of young people.
● Relevant lived and/or professional experience (i.e. experience of the challenges faced by those from less-advantaged backgrounds)
● A growth mindset, open to feedback, learning and development
● Excellent IT skills, including demonstrable usage of CRM databases (e.g. Salesforce or equivalent) and other tech tools.
