The Individual Giving Manager will play a vital role in fundraising activities to support our mission of providing care and support to children with life-limiting conditions and their families. About the role
We are recruiting for shop supervisor to join our Islington shop. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference and deliver positive social impact in the local community while also raising money to fund Crisis’ work ending homelessness.
As shop supervisor, you will support the shop manager and assistant shop manager to deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will play a key role in delivering customer service and supporting volunteers, as well maintaining the look and feel of the shop and processing stock. You will work towards ambitious sales and training targets, maximising the impact on our mission to end homelessness.
This is a unique retail opportunity where you will also be involved in delivering on the job training for Crisis members, supporting them to gain the skills and confidence needed in the workplace. You will work collaboratively with your team and will have opportunities to build your own skills and career progression through training and development.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have significant retail or customer service experience alongside a genuine interest in charity retail. Newham Community Renewal Programme welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and identities.
You will join a small team of housekeepers working mainly at our Community/Justice/ Counselling services. Well-managed spaces make our buildings great places to be ensuring they are efficient, secure and pleasant environments. You will work with the Soft Facilitates Manager to carry out planned cleaning duties from a schedule of works. You will also need to build in capacity for reactive cleaning as required.
A key part of the role will be to work with project managers and the Soft Facilities Manager to ensure solid housekeeping provision. You will ensure the efforts of you provide a high level of cleanliness, and cleaning complies with health and safety standards too.
You will have a usual place of work at either Katherine Price Hughes House, Highbury or Wincott Street, Lambeth as we have two Housekeeping roles available, but be required to work flexibly across the property portfolio if business needs demand this. You will facilitate end of licence/tenancy cleaning preparing these spaces for new residents, or you could be asked to provide cleans between room hire in our counselling and our community spaces. The post holder will ensure their working practices are safe and compliant with the organisation’s health and safety guidelines.

The Senior Youth and Community Worker needs to be a passionate, enthusiastic and professional. Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensure that all supporter e-mails are handled in a timely, professional, and efficient manner and that responses reflect the organisation’s positions and values and contain up-to-date information

- Verify and input donor data, including demographic, membership, and personal information, into the membership database

Your accountabilities will include but not be limited to:
· Working closely with Income/Housing Teams in reviewing pre-eviction cases ensuring appropriate support has been offered prior to action.
· Providing a customer focused service where we help to empower residents to sustain their tenancies, delivering both welfare benefits advice and money guidance support.
· Financial Guidance: Provide expert advice and guidance to older residents on financial matters, including budgeting, debt management, banking, and money-saving strategies.
· Benefits and Entitlements: Assist residents in understanding and accessing relevant benefits, allowances, and grants, providing support with applications, appeals, and assessments.
· Financial and Support Assessments: Conduct comprehensive financial assessments with older individuals to determine their income, expenditure, and financial needs, identifying areas for improvement or intervention.

Working closely with the Executive Support Manager and liaising with the rest of the Team, the role is central to the efficient operation of the Partnership. You will be responsible for the administration of the organisation’s membership, including membership renewal, new applications and resignations. Monitoring membership engagement with Working Groups. You will also provide general admin support to team. Responsible for office admin and health and safety procedures, record keeping, liaison with facilities and the maintenance of the office.
You will also work with the bookkeeper to maintain the financial systems and flag any outstanding member debts.
You will manage the membership renewals and new applications process, so that applications are processed efficiently, membership information is up to date, and that membership fees are collected promptly and follow up on the debtors list.
