Who we are

Action Disability Kensington and Chelsea is an organisation run by and for disabled people.

We provide a range of services, groups and support for disabled people with physical, sensory and invisible impairments, who live or work in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

We also campaign for access and inclusion.

We do this by providing:

• Support and advice for disabled people who are isolated

• Volunteers to deliver shopping and prescriptions

• Disability-related Information and Advice services

• Support and advice on accessing and using Personal Budgets/Community Care/Independent Living

• Advice and Information on the end of the phone

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy

Action Disability Kensington & Chelsea recognises that in our society, power is not held equally and that groups and individuals have been, and continue to be, discriminated against.

     This discrimination can be against people on grounds which may include their impairment (whether it be physical, and/or sensory in origin), race and ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender, marital status, age and religious belief.

     Action Disability Kensington & Chelsea believes that disability is primarily a social, environmental and economical experience and our purpose is to promote the fullest integration of Disabled people, and to encourage their participation in society.

     To this end, we will take steps to ensure the elimination of individual and institutional discrimination whether direct or indirect on whatever grounds, within Action Disability Kensington & Chelsea, and in all areas of our work, including employment, decision making, membership and service provision.
