About us
Who we are
The Association of Provincial Bursars was set up in 1982 by religious bursars for religious bursars and exists for the support of its members in their various stewardship roles in Religious Institutes.
APB supports them and their communities to flourish and, in accordance with each institute’s founding charism, to continue the work of the communities.
Our culture and values
APB offers the members Fellowship, Mutual Support & Encouragement, and an opportunity to share with other Religious / Lay Workers who understand the particular challenges facing bursars of Religious Institutes. It does not provide advice but will help the members get the advice they need from other members or from professionals who are experts in the particular area.
APB treats all people with whom they interact with kindness, consideration and respect.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
APB is a Catholic Association and, although the General Secretary need not be a Catholic, the successful candidate will be expected to be supportive of the ethos of the Catholic Church.
The Association of Provincial Bursars (APB) is committed to promoting equal opportunities for everyone. It will not discriminate, or accept discriminatory behaviour from its members, staff or Friends.
APB aims to make every member, Friend, the General Secretary and other service providers feel equally welcome and included by the Association and at all the Association’s events and in using the Association’s website.
