About us
Who we are
Babbasa is a Bristol-based social enterprise, established in 2013, supporting talented young people from low-income and ethnically diverse communities to progress into employment, education and enterprise.
We also work with businesses to widen access to diverse talent and strengthen inclusive workplace practice.
The word Babbasa means ordinary citizens coming together to form a support bridge - a reflection of our role in connecting young people to real opportunities.
Since 2013, we have supported over 4,500 young people to build confidence, develop skills and progress towards their ambitions.
By 2030, we aim to support 2,030 young people from low-income households — primarily from ethnically diverse backgrounds in Bristol - to progress towards median-salary careers, in line with the OurCity2030 vision.
Our culture and values
We believe talent is evenly distributed, but access to opportunity is not. Our work brings together young people, employers and community partners to address structural barriers and contribute to a fairer, more inclusive city.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Babbasa is proud to be an equal opportunity organisation. We actively encourage applications from individuals from underrepresented communities and backgrounds. We believe our diversity strengthens our work and helps us better serve the young people and communities we exist to support.
Babbasa exists to ensure that talent is never limited by background. Join us in building a more inclusive and opportunity-rich future.
