About us
Who we are
Cosmic is a small but mighty children’s charity supporting the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, Hammersmith. Every day, we work alongside our NHS colleagues to help babies, children and families through some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
We fund life-saving equipment, specialist training, pioneering research and practical and emotional support for families. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we’ve been able to make an extraordinary impact, including:
• Purchasing more than £2 million worth of life-saving equipment that the NHS cannot fund
• Investing over £500,000 into ground-breaking research to improve paediatric and neonatal care
• Raising £1.5 million to create Cosmic House – free, onsite accommodation for families with children in intensive care
• Funding specialist incubators for our tiniest and most vulnerable patients
• Providing hundreds of hours of counselling and wellbeing support for families and frontline NHS staff
At Cosmic, you’ll join a small, passionate team making a real and lasting difference where it truly matters. If you want your work to have impact every single day, we’d love to hear from you.
