About us
Who we are
Eden Valley Hospice is an adult inpatient unit with 10 beds in single en-suite rooms. The home-from-home environment creates a relaxing atmosphere for patients and families, with each room overlooking the beautiful walled garden.
The hospice is well-known in the community for providing end-of-life care, however, we also care for a significant number of patients by helping them to manage their painful symptoms before they move on to another care setting or home.
We also offer Living Well Services and have a specialist patient and family support team, who can provide such things as bereavement counselling. These services are for those receiving end-of-life care as well as the wider community, who may not have previous hospice experience.
Jigsaw is Cumbria’s only children’s hospice, supporting babies, children and young adults living with complex medical and life‑limiting conditions, offering person-centred care and supporting their family, friends and carers.
Specialist teams provide respite and short breaks in a home-from-home setting, as well as compassionate end‑of‑life care, and ongoing emotional support before and after bereavement. Jigsaw offers opportunities and experiences families may not have had otherwise, and helps children feel cared for, understood and supported throughout their lifetime.
