Who we are
The Honorary Treasurers Forum is a membership organisation formed in 2004 to provide a source of information, research and knowledge for the Treasurers of charities large and small. It became a registered charity (No: 1118802) in 2007 and is the only organisation to focus specifically on the needs of the Treasurer.
With 300 members the Forum runs a hybrid programme of eleven events a year with two in person and 9 zoom evening events, The Forum has a very active WhatsApp group where members support each other it also distributes 6 email newsletters a year to its members and over 1,200 supporters.
The Forum has no staff as such but contracts with a CEO Richard Williams, a Marketing and Commmunications specialist Sara Wrinch and a bookkeeper who has yet to be appointed. All these roles are very part time and are currently ably supported by the Forum's volunteer Treasurer and Trustee until a new bookkeppper is contracted.
The Forum is s very small charity that has an income circa £30,000 per annum but is highly regarded and delivers service and support to its members that belies its current size. Indiviual Membeship costs £50 annually and Corporate Membership fee is £600 annually.

The values and behaviours which underpin the way the Forum works are:

- Effective – being informed, educational, up to date, providing stimulation and targeted campaigning
- Collaborative – working with others to amplify our message and enhance our impact
- Inclusive – welcoming all treasurers, chairs of finance committees and individuals who are looking to become a treasurer
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
The Forum is open to all treasurers, trustees with additional financial responsibilites and individuals who wish to become treasurers or are in-between treasurer roles. The Forum does not discriminate in any form and is taking steps to immprove the diversity of its trustee board and its membership.
The Forum has no employees as such but tries to ensure that in recruiting and maintaining contracted staff that its commitment to EDI is paramount.
The Forum is also supported by 37 corporate members and relationships are only entered into with organisations that also have a commitment to EDI.
